In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi, which convened in the City Hall at g o'clock P.M. the date
above written, there were present Trustees Montgomery, Hale, Hickok
Rich and Crose.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
In the :*.latter of San Joaquin Valley Packing CoItpar.y, which
company had notified the Board that it was unable to met its obli?a-
tions ir. ''u11 and had submitted two propositions for settlerLent,upon
motion J: Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Crose, the City Attorney
was instructed to secure the best settlement possible from saic San
Joaquin `:alley Packing Company.
Wilkinson & Son were granted a card room license at their
place of business at No. 11 South Sacramento Street.
Gus Kucnis was refused a license to conduct a card room at
No. 119 North Sacramento St., upstairs.
A certificate was received from San L. Rogers, Director of
the U. S. Census, certifying that the population of the City of Lodi,
taken as c :aruary 1st, 1920 is 4850.
Fire Chief' Stark's report of fires for the month of Novem-
ber was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION R0. 112.
WE REAS, an error was made in. the Tax Roll for the City of
Lodi for 1920, by the City Assessor, in failing to enter soldier's
exemption of #400 on property assessed to Nannie Z. Carr; also an error
in assessing tie North 45 feet of Lots 8 and 9, in block 45, to Phil-
ip Frey and also the sane property to Alta Wagers, the amount of said
asseser.en t being 41150; it is therefore
RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, author-
ized to correct said tax roll by making the necessary changes in the
totals , as passed upon by the Board of Equalization of the City of
Lodi.
The fore..oirg resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Rich, Hickok, Crose and Montgomery.
Foes: sone.
Absent: None.
RESOLUTION NO. 113.
Resolution Approving Diagram Showing District Affected and
Benefitted by the Improvement of Elm Street and to be Assessed for
the cost and Expenses of said Improvement.
RESOLVED, that the Diagram preTared and submitted by L.F.
•Barzellotti, City Engineer, showing the district affected and ben-
efitted by the improvement of, anal to be assessed for t he cost and
expen ses of the improvement of Elm Street, ( as descrcbbed in Reso-
lution_ of Irten tion No. 28 of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi, passed May 24th, 1920,) be and the same is hereby approved, and t
the City Clerk is hereby airected to endorse said approval on said
Diagran arc, :.eliver the same to the Superintendent of Streets.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Rich, Hickok, Hale, Grose and Montgomery.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The report of City Marshal for the month_ of November was
read and ordered filed.

Rosco Harmon requested the Board to accept deeds for the oven -

to Central Avenue. Trustee Rich moved, seconded by Trustee Hickok,

Upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried, the Board
adjour Red to Leet again at g o'clock p.m., Monday November 13th, 1920.
