The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in.
Special Session pursuant to call of the President of the Board at
8 o'clock p.m., on the date first above written, there being pres—
ent Trustees Montgomery, Rich and Hickok. Trustees Hale and Crose
absent.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 2nd, ware read
abnd approved.
The written resignation of City Marshal and Superinten—
dent of Streets H. B. Coleman was read, and upon motion regularly
made, seconded and carried, was accepted.
A letter from Mr. Coleme expressing regret at having to
sever his connections with the City Government and thanking the
Board for courtesies shown him during his incumbency in office
was read and ordered filed.
The final report of City Marshal Coleman for the per—
iod August 1st to 9th, inclusive, was read and ordered filed.
The retiring Marshal and Street Superintendent also
presented an inventory of all city property in his possession
which after examination was approved and upon motion the President
of the Board was authorized to sib a receipt for said City prop—
erty.
Trustee Hickok moved, seconded by Trustee inch, that
R. B. McClure be appointed City Marshal, Superintendent of Streets
and tree officer at the same salary fixed for his predecessor,
Such appointment to take effect immediately. The motion was car—
ried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hicr:ok, Rich and Montgomery.
Foes; yore.
Absent: Trustees Hale and Crose.
All the business for which this special meeting was
called having been accomplished the Board adjourned.
