In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, hela tris date, there were present Trustees Montgomery, Hale, Crose, Rich and Hickok. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A communication from George E. McNoble representing own— ers of property contiguous to the Mokelumne Canal,-Companyy's ir— rigation ditch, regarding sewage conditions, was read and it was decided that the Board as a committee of the whole would visit the septic tank Tuesday, June 8th, and try and devise some means of making changes that would satisfy Protestants. A petition signed by A. R. Kolb and others asking for the improvement of Lockerord Street, from Sacramento street to Church street, was referred back to petitioners with request to include in their petition the part of said Lockeford street from Sacra— mento street to the Southern Pacific Railway. Seventeen applications for building permits were read, granted and ordered filed. Mrs. Libbie Hallifera was granted permission to move a building from outside the City to lot 8, block 2, Barnhart Tract, on Hast Lodi Avenue. 0. H. Gillette complained that Central California Trac— tion_ Company permits freight cars to stand on their main track or. North Sacramento street for unreasonable lengths of time and that said street is also obstructed by sand and other materials piled thereon making it unsightly, inconvenient and dangerous to travel. The City Attorney was requested to take up these matters with the traction company and if thought necessary -to -notify said company that it would be cited to show cause wily its franchise should not be revoked. Upon motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Rich, George Walker's pay was increased to #150 per month from June lst, said rate of pay to be full compensation for all emergency work and extra time put in by..him. • Upon motion of Trustee Rich, seconded by Trustee Crose, the pay of Electrician Smith was increased to $175 per month; also the pay of T.L.Webb and Geo. P. McLane, employees at the pumping plant, was increased to $150 per month, such increases to become effective June 1, 1920. Miscellaneous bills amounting to $9113.94-, having been passed by the auditing committee, were allowed and ordered paid. No further business appearing the Board adjourned until the next regular meeting June 21, 1920. Attest; 'city Cleric. 25t.
