The Board of Tru3tee3 of the City -of Lodi convened in reg–
ular session at $ o'clock p'E., there being present Trustees
Black, Hale, Crose, Montgomery and 'sorehead.
Minutes of t e previous yeeting were read and approved.
R. J. Custer, Supervising Principal of the Lodi schools ad–
dressed the Board in favor of electing a board of freeholders to
fra_e a charter for the City of Lodi. G. E. Lawrence, W. H. Faust,
J. U. Ucl a on, and City Attorney Steele were also 'heard in the mat–
ter a::a tie Board decided to take the ratter under advisement.
RESOLUTION NO. 92.
DESIGNATING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, FIXING THE
TILE POLLS SI -ALL BE OPEN, APPOINTING OFFICERS OF ELECTION AID FIX–
ING Trr,Iii CCIITEv$ATIOii.
WHEREAS, the election laws of the State of California i.ro–
vide that the Board of Trustees in cities of the sixth class shall
designate voting precincts and polling places; shall fix the time
polls 3a11 be open; shall appoint officers of election and fix
their co:4pensation; and
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election .s to be held in the
City of Lodi on MONDAY, APRIL 12th, 1920„ therefore be it
RESOLVE, that for to purpose of said General Election
there shall be four voting precincts, as follows:
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT °A°, comprising State and
County Precincts Nos. 1 and 5; the voting place thereof shall be
County Building, 203 North Sacramento Street, between Locust and
Lockeford Streets.
OFFICERS OF ELECTION.
Inspector --William A. Schwimley.
Judges —Mrs. Belle Wright and
Clerks --Edith K. Henning and Minnie L. Richards.
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT °B0, corprising State and County
Precincts 1,0s. 2 and 3; the voting place thereof shall be Emerson
Gra:Lax School, Hutchins street, between Pine and Elm Streets.
OFFICERS OF ELECTION.
Inspector-- Effie F. VanVlear.
Judges — R. P. Valentine and J. A. Bowen.
Clerks — Erna M.'Guggolz and Mrs. Mary Burchard.

Precincts Nos. 6 and 7; the voting place thereof 3tta11 be B. F.
Pope's garage, Grand Avenue, between Pine and Oak Streets.

Judges -- Williau A. Moore and John Hellwig.
Clerks — Grace M. Marchand and
CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCT °D°,comprising State and County
Precincts Nos. 4 and 8; the voting place thereof shall be Pioneer
Fruit Shed, Corner Lodi Avenue and Seaton Avenue.
OFFICERS OF ELECTION.
Inspector–Augustus G. Corson.
Judges --Wallace L. Clark and Cora J. Raines.
Clerks —Louise C. Bull and Sarah B. Caverly.
The polling places for said election shall be open between
the hours of 6 o'clock A. U. and 7 o'clock P. M.

The compensation of election officers serving at said elec—
tio:: shall be the 3•.:m of 47.50 each.

Ayes: Trustees Close, Hale, Morehead, Montgomery and Black.

RESOLUTION 0. 93.
VaOREAS, a nap of a subdivision of land entitled STURIA
SCHOOL ADDITION :.as been preoented to this Board; and
'HZERFAS, the property linPs and the street lines of said
subdivision conform with the lines of adjoining streets and prop—
erties; and
WHEREAS, the arproval of said =ap and the acceptance of the
streets and alleys delineated therein has been recommended by the
City E_ndiileer;
RESOLVED, that the al-mve rar-ed map and subdivision. be and'. is
hereby approved a -.-.d the offer of the owners of the land designated
in this nap to dedicate to the City of Lodi for public use the
.streets and alleys shown in the same be and is hereby accepted;
and that the President of this Board be and is hereby authorized
to endorse or. this map such approval and acceptance.

RESOLUTION NO. 94.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with this boardlrO—
posing li3y initiative proceedings an ordinance providing that each
employee of the City of Lodi shall receive for his services y4.00
per day; such compensation to be paid out of the general fund of
t,Ie City of Lodi; and
WHEREAS, it appears from the statement of the Cleric that
:e certified to :.aures on said petition_ of persons who had not reo
istered 31r_ce the 1st day of January, 1920, and said names are
necessary to make up the requisite number of qualified electors
or. said petition; and
WHEREAS, it appears further from an examination of said
petition that the date each signer affixed his name to said peti—
tion is oiAtted; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby find that said peti—
tion is insufficient; and the Clerk is hereby instructed to no—
tify tie proposers of said ordinance of the Board's action to the
end that they may remedy the defects therein if so advised.

Ayes: Trustees Hale, Montgomery, Crose, Morehead and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
ORDINANCE NO. 111:
"An Ordinance Prescribing the Standard Welghts for Bread in
the City of Lodi, and Providing a Penalty for Violation thereof,"
was read and introduced for passage aid upon motion was laid on
the ta;;le for not less than five days.
ORDIU CE NO. 112.
"An Ordinance Amerdirg Sections One and Two of Ordinance
No. 96, Fixing the Salaries and Compensation of the City Cleric
and E —Officio Assessor, and the City Treasurer and Ex—Officio
City Tax Collector.° was read and introduced for passage and
upon r::otion was laid on the table for not less than five days.
