In adjourned session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi
there were present lrustacs 31ack, ::ale, Crose, '"or,t;ormery and Morehead.
In the matter of call for bids of April 17th for vitrified and
cement pipe and castings, after consideration of all proposals action
.:as taken as follows:
Trustee Montgomery moved, seconded by Trustee Crose, that all pro-
posals for vitrified and cement pipe be rejected except those of Ed
Spie';erman and .'/.H.Graham & Co., for cement pipe laid, -and that the con-
tract be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders,.Viz: Ed Spiekernan
and ''' H."raham & Co.,.upon their bids of $4659.50 each contractor hav-
ing bid the same amount); one-half of said contract to each of said
bidders, allotments of the particular parts of the work to be decided
upon by Superintendent Iienning, City Engineer Barzellotti and the con-
tractors. The foregoing motion was adopted by unanimous vote of the
Board.
'Upon notion of Trustee Morehead, seconded by Trustee Crose,the'-
contract for furnishing 200 sacks of Portland cement was awarded to
Fuller Lumber Company upon its bid of 0170 f.o.b.cars Lodi.
The hoard upon motion of Trustee Montgomery, seconded by
Trustee Hale, decided to reject all bids for furnishing manhole rings,
covers and dustpans and sewer gratings, the same to he purchased in
the open market.
Upon motion of Trustee Montgomery,, seconded by Trustee Crose,
the Board decided to employ G.'J.LeUIoin to assist the City Assessor
in :caking the property assessment for the present year, his com-
pensation to be 0100 per month.
Upon Notion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Montgomery,
the Board adjourned to meet again at E o'clock p.n.,Monday,May 12th.
