Minutes of the previous moetlrre were read and approved.
Building and removal permits were granted as follow:
C.*T.Gable, to hove buildine from 18 South School street to lo—
cation outside city.
R. D. Warriner, addition to porch at 12 South RUtchins street.
N.";.rauble, dwelling v 4 of lot 33, Barnhart Tract.
N.".Xaubie, poultry house, N lot 33, Barnhart Tract.
Lodi Car ir.g Co., building for cannery on lots 70 and 71,Lodi

In the matte r of the opening of a street to connect North
School street andNorth Church street at the northern City Limits
H. 3. Coleman arra the Sanguirretti Estate proposed to selito the City
a strip of land sixty feet wide for such opening. After discussion the
matter was laid over to be taken up at an adjourned meeting later.
-A communication was received from the Southern Pacific Company
stating they would be willing to place one electrolie!r on the north
side of East "walnut street between Mair, street and the Southern Pa—
cific .,_woke.
Reports of City Marshal, City Treasurer and City Plumbing
Inspector were read and ordered filed.
In tie matter of the application of 3. Greer and ,;.M.Greer
for a pereit to operate a motor vehicle as a conm:on carrier on the
streets of Lodi, Trustee Keeney moved, second by Trustee Montgomery,
that a permit be :1enied. The , ^tion was adopted by unanimous vote of
the Board.
J. C. Bewley presented a petition of property owners asking
that the alley running east'and west from North Lee Avenue to BUtchins
street ii tie block between Pine and Elm streets, be paved. The matter
was laid over to be taken up in connection_ with the proposed improve—
ment of Lee Avenue.
Ir. the matter of closing hours for pool and billiard halls and
bcwling alleys the following agreement was filed with the Board:

We the undersigned agree to close our places of business at
eleven ole10CIL on week days and twelve o'clock on Saturdays and holi—

Lenon motion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Crose, the
foregoing agreement was accept!!e and ordered filed.
Trustee Keeney 'moved, seconded by Trustee Crose, that in view
of the agreement to close billiard and pool rooms and bowling alleys
as above, that all proceedings regarding proposed ordinance :No. 105
be revoked and all documents except tie foregoing agreement be stricken
`'rom the files. The r<otior was carried unarirnously. .
Amended petition asking for the improvement Of Locust street
was filed.by F. P. ?Roper.
B1113 amounting to $4480:15 were allowed and ordered paid.
