Pursuant to call of its President this Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi convened in special session at o o'clock p. m.,
there being present Trustees Black, Hale, Keeney, Crose and Montgomery.
Minutes of the regular meeting of January 20th were read and
approved.
City Marshal Coleman and Deputy City Marshal Harry Myers made
verbal report to the Board to the effect that C. J. Bender of the Lodi
Wine Company, at 21 North Sacramento street, had repeatedly violated
the liquor ordinances of the city and recommended that action be taken
by the Board, whereupon the following resolution was adopted by Trustee
Crosti:
RESOLUTION NO. 55.
Good cause appearing therefor, it is hereby resolved by the
Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, that the wholesale liquor lic—
ense heretofore granted by said City, to C. J. Bender to conduct a
wholesale liquor business, at No. 21 N. Sacramento Street in said City
of Lodi, be, and the same is, hereby revoked, to take effect at 6
o'clock P.M., Saturday, the 1st day of March, A.D.1919.
IT FTJRT] R ORD .ED, that a copy of this Resolution and Order,
attested by the Clerk of this Board, be immediately served upon said
C. S. BENDER by the City Marshal.
Trustee Crose moved the adoption of the foregoing resolution
as read, the motion was seconded by Trustee Montgomery,and upon roll
call was passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Crose,Montgoi ery,Hale,K'eeney and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
