In regular session of the 5oard of Trustees of the City of Lodi
there were present Trustees Black, Rale, Keeney, Crose and Montgomery.
Minutos of the previous meetir„ :were read and approved.
The Board having fixed this as the time of hearing in the :natter
of the application of B. Greer and J. M. Greer for permit to operate a
motor truck as a common :arrier on the streets of Lodi, A. L. Levins<y,
counsel for Central California Traction Company, filed a protest and
objections to granting of such permit. Attorney Claude M. Gill argued
in favor of the permit and asked tee Board to take immediate action.
The Board set the time for a further hearing at 8 O'clock p.ir. Feb-
ruary 3, 1919.
Building and removal permits were granted as follows:
C. Legere, garage on W 481 ft of 5 a of block 13,Barnhart Tract.
C. E. Holmes, to move and remodel d,rellir_g to Block 15, Barn -
:art Tract.
C. R. McCully, dwelling 228 Eden street.
S. McGlothler,, to move two buildings, to be remodeled, to lot 8,
subdivision of the E. 1 of block 9, Barnhart Tract.
J. M. McMahon and other property owners or, North School street
petitioned the Board of Trustees to take immediate ac -ion to provide
an cutlet from i:ortf! Schoolstreet at the City Limits to North Church
street by the purchase of a strio of land which it was stated could be
secured for 11000. The City Engineer was instructed to survey the pTO-
pcsed street and. tee City Attorney was directed to draw up a r1eso1u-
t.lo.. providing for such opening.
'pcn motion the City Attorney was instructed to take up with the
Southern Pacific Company the matter of improving the various street
crossinzs over its traces in the City of Lodi which are in some places
in very bad condition.

street, this City of Lodi issued serial bonds, dated September 10,1913,
Numbered One to Thirty; and
WHERE S, since September 15, 1918, there accrued as Interest on
said bonds, to -:;it,- ten couacns Q X2.94, .along $29.0.0, and. twenty
coupons $10.50, xathi $210.00, or a total of $239.40 of interest
accrued to, and due, January 2nd, 1919; and
WHIMEAS, there willhave accrued, as interest on said bonds,froz
January 2, 1919, to July 2, 1919, to -;nit,- ten coupons 01 $4.90, malcing
A49.00, and twenty coupons 417.50, making $350.00, or a total of
4399.00; and
WHEREAS, there will ...ature and be due and payable thereon, July
2, 1919, two bonds 4 4500..00, making $1000.00, and one bond V $139.92,
making a total of $1139.92, for redemption of bonds, and a total for
said interest and said redemption of bonds of 41778.32; and
TR REAS, there are no funds or money now on hand in the North
School Street Bond Redemption and Interest Find, and no money will
come into said fund until after the said 2nd day of .Tuly, 1919; now
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, teat the Treasurer be, and he is hereby author-
ized and instructed to transfer immediately from. the General Fund, said
