The Board of Trustees conveyed in regular session at 8 p.m.,
with ?resident of the Baord Black in the chair. There were present
Trustees Black, Fele , Keeney, Crose and Montgomery.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

A. V. Chapman, garage, lot 13, block 4, East Lodi.
Lee ° Jones, garage, Lot 3, block 1, City of Lodi.
M. L. Ryan, poultry house, 424 Eden street.
In tate matter of application of B. Greer and J.M.Greer for a
permit to run a motor vehicle as a common carrier upon the public high—
way of the County cf San Toaquir_, Trustee Montgomery moved., secordel
by Trustee tale, that the time and place for hearing of the petition
be fixed as follows: Monday, January 20, 1919, at 8 o'ci0Ok p.n., in
the Coercil chamber, City Fall, Lodi, Cal. The motion was adopted by
unanimous vete of the Board.
The City Marshal's report for the month of December, 1918, was
read and ordered filed.
A. P. !Crumb, G.A.^erlach and others representing the plumbers
of the City of Lodi stated that the State law regarding plumbing was
not being observed and requested the Board to appoint a plu;bing in—
spector and enforce the 1a:^ in future. The City Attorney was requested
to advise the. Board at its next meeting as to what legal steps were
r.ecessary. .
02DINANCE NO. 105, �.
"An Ordinance Fixing the time of Opening and.Closing of Card
Rooms, Pool Rooms and Bowling Alleys in the City of Lodi," was read
introduced for passage and laid or the table for not less than five
aays.
Upon motion of Trustee ?.ale, seconded by Trustee Crose, the
following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board:
RESCLT'TIO?i NO. 30.
Believing it to be for the best interests of the City of Lodi,
is 13,
RESCL+ED, that the sum of #300.00 be, and It is hereby, donated
for rronotion work of the Lodi Business Ben's Association, and the
Clerk is hereby instructed to draw a warrant on the treasury against
tie general fund, in favor of said association.
Trustee Montgomery moved, seconded by Trustee Crose, the adopt—
ion of the following resolution as read, whic h motion was passed by
the affirmative votes of all members of the Board:

wREREAS, the epidemic of "Spanish Influenza" still prevails
La the City of Lodi, new, this Board does.declare and determine that
public interact and neceasity demand the immediate expenditure of
public money to safe—guard life and health, and it is
RESOLVED, that this Board proceed to expend such sums; or enter
into a contract involving the expenditure of any sum required in this
emergency.
Upon motion of Trustee Keeney, seoon'?ed by Trustee ontgon ry ,

TJnior -1i Sepool Addition.
Superintendent Henning submitted a report and estimate of cost
of installing thirty electrolier3 on East Walnut street, North Lee
Avenue and East Lodi Avenue, for which preperty owners had paid their
proportlo- of the cost. The report was accepted and ordered filed
and upon tion cf Trustee ;,:ontgoniery, 3eeonded by Trustee Croae,the
