In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi there were present Trustees Hale, Keeney, Crose and Montgomery.
Trustee Black beir_g absent Trustee Hale was chosen to pre -
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
In the matter of the sale of North School street improvement
bonds, this being the date and time fixed for receiving bids, proof
of publication of the notice of sale having been filed, and no bids
for said bonds having beer. received, the following resolution was
introduced and adopted:

BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE BOARD OF TRUSTEES 07 THE CITY 0_ LODI

'%rEREAS, the City Clerk pursuant to the provisions of e3-
olutlan No. 27, adopted October 21st, 1918, caused to be duly Dub-
lished a notice inviting sealed bids for the pur:;hale of street
1r -:prove e -t bonds dated September 16, 1018, and ag negating. the
total sum of 11,399.21, and issued pursuant to the provisions of
the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915," and pursuant to proceedings
taken by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi under Reaolu-
tior. of Intention No. 16; and

received by the City clerk up to eight o'clock p.m. Monday, Novem-
ber
ovember 18, 1918, for said bonds, and said published notice contains a
like provision; and
rHE RAS, no bid was, and no bids were, received by the City
Clerk for the purchase of said strut improveeer.t bonds within the
times limited and provided for in said Reaolutior and Notice;
Y01, THER"FORE,.BE IT BFSOLV ED, that the. President of the
Board of Trustees and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, au-
thorized and directed to deliver said bonds in the aggregate total
amount of 411,399.21 to the Clark 4 Henery Cort traction Company,
the contractor who performed the work under said Resolution of In-
tention_ No. 16, in satisfaction of the sum due said contractor
upon its assessment and warrant.
Said bonds so to be delivered coneiat or twenty (20) bonds
of the denomination of Five Handred (500) Dollars each, and ten
(10) bonds of the denoszinatiea of One Mndred Thirty--Nin and
Ninety-Tao ane-iiundredLhs (134.42) Dollars each, and are of the
character known as aerials. Two bonds of t?,H par value of Five
r.undred (500) Dollars each, and one (1) bond of the par value e1
one Hundred Thirty-Nine and Winety-Two one hundredtl=_s (139.92)
Dollars are payable annually from dti],p 2nd, 1919, to Xuly 2rd,
1928, both inclusive.

adoption of the foregoing resolution as read, which notion was
Passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustaes Keeney, Montgomery, Cross and Hale.
Noes: None.
Absent; Trustee Black.
purauant to call of October 24th for bids for furr_ishirg a
light auto truck for the City proposals ware received from the fol-
lowirg:
A. B. Hoag, ford 1 -ton, with Hennp open flare board body
No. 405, 9820. same with canopy top and cab, $SSo.
J. H. Davies, Vin i -ton capacity chassis only $890. Same
with Model F open express body, 4975,
CassWebb, used 1 -ton Moreland truCk, with express body
and cab, 9850.
After due consideration of the above proposals the follow-
ing resolution was introduced:
WHEREAS, the bid of A. B. Hoag for a 'Ford 1 -ton truck with
Henney open flare board body, No. 405, at $820.00 is considered the
lowest and most satisfactory bid; it is therefore
RESOLVED, that the above mentioned bid be, and the same is
hereby, accepted, and the city clerk is authorized to draw a warrant
on the general fund in the sum of $$20.00, in favor of A. B. Hoag,
in payment therefor upon delivery of said truck to the City of Lodi.
Upon motion of Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Montgomery,
the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Crese, Montgomery, Keeney and Hale.
Noes: Nene.
Absent: Trustee Black.
In the matter of the opening of Lancaster Court to North
Church Street the following resolution was introduced by Trustee
Keeney:
RESOLUTION.
WEEMS, W. P. LANCASTER and EMILY C. LANCASTER, his wife,
have offered to coirrey to the City of Lodi, a certain strip of land
in the City of Lodi, (hereinafter described), which is necessary for
the extension of Lancaster Court :?asterly,- said land being: -
All that certain piece or strip of land, situate, lying
and being in the City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of Cal-
ifornia, and particularly described as follows:-
Co=encing at a point on. the West line of North Church
street 180 feat north of the intersection of said west line with the
North line of First street and running thence in a westerly dire, -
tion anti parallel with the North line of said First street 202.5
feet to the South-east corner of -Lancaster Court; thence in a Nor-
tharlp direction and parallel with the west line of North Church
street ''+0 feet to the Northeast vomer of Lancaster Court; thence
in an easterly direction and parallel with the North line of First
street 202.5 feet to a point on the west lire of North Church street;
thence in a southerly direction and along the west line of North
Church street 40 feet to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, it is for the best irtprest of the said City
of Lodi, that said lard ba purchased from said parties for the pur-
pose of opening said street;
NOW, THER=ORE, BE IT RESOLVE, that the offer of said par-
ties, bs accepted, It- being Un-rstood gnat the said parties ara to
receive for their strip of lard, the sum of #200.00, -
AND FURT?M'R, that upon presentation of a deed from said N.P.
LANCASTER and EMILY C. LANCASTER, his Wife, oonveying said strip of
land to the City of Lodi, wlZh good merchantable title, that a warrant
be drain In favor of said W. P. LANCASTER, for said suns of $200.00,
payable out of the general fund, and upon receipt of said died, said
warrant will be delivered to said W. P. LANCASTER.
Upon motion of Trust eeMontgomery, seconded by Truata�Crose,
t^e foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote
Ayes; Trustees lontgomery, Crose, Keeney and Hale.
Noes: None.
Absent Trustee Black.

1918, was read and referred to the Finance Committee.
The report of City Plumbing Inspector Henning was read and
ordered filed.
Bills amounting to 00$.50, having been passed by the fin-
ance Comnittae, ware allowed and ordered paid.
