Pursuant to adjournment of September 2d the Board of Trustees
of the City of Lodi convened at 8 o'clock p.m., there being present
Trust!'. s Black, Zeeney Montgomery and Crose. Absent Trustee '--ale.
Minutes of tie previous meeting were read and.approved.
The following communications were received and ordered filed:
:rom League of California Municipalities, announcing date of annual
convention; State Board of Health requesting city to send representa-
tives to the annual meeting of Health Officers; California Automobile
Association regarding street signs.
The application of Ernest DeMartini for a license to Bell and s
serve wines and beer with meals at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, io. 100
South Main Street, having been filed and advertised according to law
and no protests having been filed, Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by
Trustee 'M'ontgomery, that a license be granted. The motion was adopted
by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Keeney, Montgomery, Crose and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent: Trustee Rale.
Treasurer Lorenz reported that he had appointed George W. Le-
Moin to act as Deputy Tax Collector, which appointment was upon mo-
tion approved by the Board.
The Tax Collector was authorized to proceed in the usual manner
to procure the necessary printed supplies and asststance to write the
tax bills.
Upon motion of Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Montgomery,
George Walker, employed in the Public Utilities Department, was placed
on the regular salary list at 0120 per month effective September 1st.
Miscellaneous bills amounting to' 6163.56 were allowed and or-
dered paid.
Upon motion the Poard adjourned to meet again at S o'clock p.m.
