Pursuant to adjournment -of August 19th the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi convened at 8 p.n. There were present Trustees Black,
Hale, Keeney, Montgomery and Cross.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The application of Robert Samet and Oscar Samet for a license to
sell and serve malt and vinous beverages with meals at the Hotel Lodi
having; been filed and advertised according to law, all the proceedings
having been found regular and no protests having been filed, Trustee
Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Hale, that a license be granted. The
motion was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Keeney, Hale, Crose, Montgomery and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The application of Hiroshinaya Hotel Compan>.y, a corporation,
for a license to sell and serve vinous and halt liquors with meals at .
No. 20 ;worth Main Street, having been filed and advertised according
to law, all the proceedings having been found regular and no protests
having been filed, Trustee Keeney coved, seconded by Trustee Montgom—
ery, that a license be granted, which motion was adopted by the follow—
ing vote:
Ayes: Trustees Keeney, Montgomery, Hale, Grose and Black.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Upon motion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Crose, the
following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board:
BE IT RESOLVED, That all the saloon licenses heretofore granted
by this Board be, and the same are hereby, revoked, to take effect at
12 o'clock, mid—night, on the 31st day Of August, 1918.
C.A.Rich applied for increase to 035 per month for hire of horse
and wagon used by P.U. yepar tment. No action was taken—
Deputy Marshal Kiser was granted two weeks leave of absence with
pay to begin September 1st.
No further business appearing the Board adjourned.
