In regular adjourned session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi there were. present Trustees Rale, Black, Keeney, Crose•and Montgomery. Minutes of the meeting of June 24th were read and approved. City mel & Ice Company, J. G. Hieb, C. J. Bender and Wilkin_— sor. & Wilkinson having applied for renewal of their wholesale liquor licenses, the applications having been filed and advertised, and the bonds having been approved by the President of the Board of Trustees, all in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 78; and no protests having been filed; Trustee Keeney moved, seconded by Trustee Hale, that vtholesaleliquor licenses be granted to the above named dealers. The motion_ carried by the affirmative votes of all members of the Board. RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, A. F. KAVANAUGH, MARTIN D. DUFFY and ROBERT M. COMBS, have each filed an application_ with this Board of Trustees, to conduct a saloon business in the City of Lodi; BE IT RESOLVED, that said respective applications be, and they are, hereby granted, subject to the proposed action of the Board, here— inafter set forth, and WHEREAS, all saloons in the City of Stockton, County of San Joaquin, State of California, will be closed on and after midnight on the 19th day of July, A. D. 1918; and %FERIAS, this Board is informed, that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Joaquin, at its next regular meeting, will soon close all saloons in said County of San Joaquin, outside of incorpor— ated Cities; and WHEREAS, this Board believes that in the event such action be taken by the Board of Supervisors, and in view of the fact that the saloons in the City of Stockton, will be closed as hereinbefore stated, that it will be for the best interests of said City of Lodi, and the imperative duty of this oard, to close all the saloons therein, NOV THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it is the sense of this Board in the event such action be taken by said Board of Supervisors, that this Board of Trustees will revoke all saloon licenses thereto— fore issued, such revocation to take effect simultaneously with the closing of the saloons by said Board of Supervisors, and FURTHER, that at the next regular meeting of this Board, an o ordinance shall be passed practically the .same as the ordinance which will go into effect in the City of Stockton at midnight on the said 19th day of July, A. D. 1918. Upon notion of Trustee Keeney, seconded by Trustee Crose, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Keeney, Crose, Hale, Montgomery and Black. Noes: None.
