In regular session of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi there: were present Trustees Hale, Black, Keeney, Deaver and rol- endorf. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The quarterly reports of the City Treasurer and City Clerk were read and referred to the Finance Committee. filed. The monthly report of the City Uarshal was read and ordered The application of James Marlow for position as garbage man for the City was read and the matter referred to a committee' of the whole The matter of assignment of Mason Brothers contract for el- ectric power to the Lodi Ice & Cold Storage Company was referred to the City Attorney. George Winter of Stockton and Jos. _W. Cavilof Stockton ap- plied for employment as special auditor for the City. No action was taken. The following building and removal permits were granted: W.A.Young, to remodel dwelling at 21 North Cherokee street. W.A.Young, dwelling on lot 4, block 33, City of Lodi. L.T.Mason, private stable on lot 11, block 11, Hutchins Addition. Gustine Snider, dwelling lot 17, block 6, Barnhart Trat. H.B.McClure, private garage at 405 South School. 0.A.Schroeder, dwelling lot 44, Schroeder Tract. 0.A.Schroeder, dwelling lot '4.5, Schroeder Tract. S. W. Slauson, to move dwelling from North School street to the north 60 feet of lots 5 and 6, block 12, City of Lodi, at rear of Mason Hospital. J.D.Crose, J. Hepper and T. J. Thurmond reported to the Board that good progress had been made in solicitin funds for electroliers on East Locust and East Elm streets. City Treasurer Lorenz reported the Central Savings Bank had ap- plied for_ 10,000 of city money at 2* interest on daily balances. E.3.3Deaver requested the City to Install two electroliers on East Lodi Avenue at the City park, which request was granted and the installation ordered.
