The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi for the third 'wonday in November was called to.order by
President J. Cf, Shattuck at 8 o'clock ?.1J. on the date and at
the place first above written at 8 o'clock P.Hi.; Trustees Hale,
Hickok, Yettler, Spooner and Shattuck present; none absent;
The minutes of the regular meeting of November 5th were
read and approved as read;
G. .Steele appeared before the Board in support of a
resolution prepared by himself, instructing the City Attorney
to file a disclaimer in the action of Lodi Lumber Company vs
Clarence A. Grant, administrator of the estate of R,L;Wardrobe
and J. M. 1-1c Lahon, as administrator of the estate of Priscilla
N. Dayton; On motion of Trustee Spooner, said resolution was
introduced, gassed and adopted by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Spooner, Hale, -Hickok, Mettler, Shattuck.,
NOES: Trustees, None, ABSENT: Trustees, None; -
( Mote: A true copyy of the above mentioned resolution
appears at Rage 32-A of these minutes)

ed at the meeting of November 5th.,1923, was introduced for final
passage and ordered to print on motion of Trustee: -Hale. The same
was then passed and adopted by the fcllowing vote: -
AYE'S: Trustees, Hale Hickok a_ettler Spooner, Shattuck;
NOES: Trustees, None, NSENT: `irustees, NONE;
The Clerk read several written applications for appointment
to any vacancies at the Se:•rage Disposal Plant and the same were
ordered filed;
The City Clerk presented his annual report and on motion
of Trustee Eettler the same was ordered printed according to law.
In the matter of the sum set aside for promotion purp-
oses in the budget, the Clerk was instructed that the Chamber of
Commerce should present paid expense vouchers for their portion;
Consulting Engineer Clyde Y. Smith asked that a third man
be appointed as attendant at the sev-rage disposal plant, to work

and for the County of San Joaquin, State of California, asking for a
decree quieting title of said Lodi Lumber C=pany, to all that cer-
tain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the
City of Lodi, County of San Joaquin, State of California, particu-

four hours as attendant and six hours as laborer, he suvZested
that all men at the plant work ten hours and arrange shifts so
as to provide for time off. The matIter was taken under advise-
:nent until the Board could visit the plant on Tuesday next and
determine the feasibility of the plan;
Ten building permits a"gregatii}g $9,300.00 were allowed
and ordered granted on motion of Trustee Spooner;
Audited bills in the amount of $2,577.52 were allowed
and ordered paid on motion of TrusteeI..ettler, seconded by
Trustee Hickok.
