Monday, July 16th - 1923.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
at 8 o'clock P.M. an the above date; J3. Shattuck presiding;
Trustees Hickok, Mettler,Spooner and Shattuck present, Trustee
Hale, absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of July 2nd were read
and approved.
Numerous residents of Burr's and Forrest's Additions
a2peared in verbal protest against the assessment of non -abut-
ting property for the opening of Hutchins Street under Resolut-
ion of Intention.No 64.
This being the date set for the reception -of bids for
public printing for the ensuing year, the Board publicly open-
ed and declared the bids received which were two; the Lodi
Sentinel bidding 39% per column inch for first run and 29% for
additional insertions; the Lodi News bidding 25% and 15% for
the same service; contract was awarded the Lodi News at the price
named in their bid by the passage of Resolution of Award No;
408 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Mettler,Hickok,Spooner,Shattuck;
NOES: Trustees, None Absent: Trustee, Hale
St.Peter's Lutheran Church, by it's secretary, W,F.Meeske
applied for permission to remove an elm tree from in front of
their main entrance. Permission granted as it was shown that
this matter had been brought to the attention of the chairman
of the City Planning Commission some time previously.
Fourteen building permits aggregating $19.650.00 were
allowed and ordered granted; that of Karl Schmidt,1149, cond-
itionally upon his keeping to the established building line
on Rose Street. Applications #150 and 1151 were -referred to a
-committee of the whole for investigation;
On motion of Trustee Hickok, the Board adjourned until
8 o'clock P.M. of July 23rd., 1923.
