The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi for the third Monday in April was called to order at 8 o'clock P.L:. on the date first above written, President J.:'i.Shat- tuck presiding, all members present: The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of April 9th were read and approved. No hearings were had under the head of Public Hearings and Protests and the Clerk reporting no communications on his desk, both of these orders of business were passed . Resolution No. 391 entitled "RESOLUTION ESTABLISHIING GRADES ON PORTIONS OF STOCKTON AVENUE IN THF"'.. M., in the Council Chamber of the said Board of Trus- tees, in the City Hall of said City of Lod!, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or Improvement may appear -before said Board and show cause why said pro- posed improvement should not be car- ried out in accordance with this Reso. lution. The Clerk of this Board of Trustees Is hereby directed to cause this Reso- lotion of Intention to be published three times in "The Lodi News," a newspaper published and circulated three times each week in said City of Lodi and hereby designated for that purpose by the Board Of Trustees, there being no daily newspaper pub- lished in said City. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work sad improvement and in trout of all property liable to be assessed, notices of the passabe of this Resolution of Intention, In the manner and form re- quired by law. Shattuck asked that the Clerk be instructed to prepare and present, on the first mestin? of each month, a financial statement showing balances in the several funds from which payments for cost of g6vernment are made. The Clerk stated that tiis additional report could easily be made and would be made if no money tivas paid into these Rands except on "pay -in" orders from his office. On notion of Trustee Hettler, sscor_ded by Trustee Spooner, the offer of an unknown donor, proffered through the Presidsnt of the Board, to paint the roof of the Baths at a cost of $214.00 ;vas accepted. Two building permits aggregating $600.00 were allowed. The Engineer was instructed to prepare plans for installat- ion of side-aalks on School Street from Elm to Pine and from School to Church on fine.
