Pursuant to adjournment t a_ en from the regular me oting of Jan-
uary 15th., t::a Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adjourn-
ed rezular session at 8 o'clock P.M.. ?resi ent J. W. Shattuck presid-
ing, .Trustees Hale, :Mettler, Spooner and Shattuck present; Trustee
Hickok being still out of the City.
This being the date set by published notice for the reception of
proposals to furnish the machinery needed for the activated sludge
sewage disposal plant, the Board proceeded to publicly open and declare
the proposals received for each of the items advertised for, the said
proposals being submitted by the following firms: -

On motion of Trustee Spooner, seconded. by Trustee Mettler, award '.
in the above was postponed to the 19th.
The City of Lodi -oeing entitled to one Trustee in the local health
district; Dr. James E. Nelson was appointed Trustee from Unit io. 3 of
San Joaquin Local Health District by the passage of Resolution No.374
by the followin? vote:-
AYES: Trustees, _lettler, ele, Sooner, Shattuck.
NOES: Trustees, None. ?;;=: Trustee, Hickok.
The Clerk read a comrurication from the Trustees of the Lodi
Union High School requesting that the City fill in the side walk
Spaces on Test Oak Street, ;gest of Hutchins Street: the Board did
not sea the way clear to do this at present as no surplus dirt was
available.
Consulting Engineer Clyde P. Smith a-npeared before the Board
5 with' the completed plans, details and specifications for the Activ-
;' ated Sludge Sewage Disposal Plant and the same were approved and
adopted by the passage of Resolution No. 375 by the following vote:
AYES: Trustees, Spooner, Mettler, Hale, Shattuck.
NOES: Trustees, None. ABSENT: Trustee Hickok.
