Monday, December 4,1922.
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to
order at S o'clock P.M. on the date first above written, President
J.7 -`.Shattuck presiding, _,ll members present.
The r,i&.}rtes of the regular reeting of November 20th and
the adjourned%icing of November 27th, were read and approved.
3. H. Starr., fire Chief, appeared in application for an
extension of the fire alarm signal wires to the residence of H.L.
Rolls, driver of the truck, so that he might be immediately noti-
fied of night alarms. On notion of Trustee Spooner, seconded by
Trustee Hickok, the natter was referred to Supt. Henning for an
estimate of cost, report to be rade at the next meeting of the
Board.
City Attorney Steele stated that formal claims for damage
from story: waters in the Barnhart Tract would be filed with the
Clerk during the week, and asked that the Board be apprised of
the filing so that a committee could investigate. No action taken.
Ordinance No. 137 "An Ordinance
was introduced, read, and on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by
Trustee Spooner, laid over for not less than five days.
The State Railroad Commission set April 1,1923 for the
final date by which the City must have its infractions of rules
governing overhead vires corrected.
Chief Stark of the sire Dep artrert applied by letter for
1000 feet more of 2�1' nose. On motion, Trustee Lettler, the Clerk
was authorized to advertise for the same.
The :ire Chief's monthly report was read and ordered filed.
The Clerk read a cor_.r:unicat ion from the Superior Hanufac-
turing Company asking for more time in which to pay their power bill.
No motion being offered granting such extension, Trustee Spooner,
seconded by Prustee'Hickok, moved that the City Superintendent
strictly enforce the provisions of ordinances rel:.tirg to shutting
off delinquent patrons.
Reports from the Marshal, 'Plumbing Inspector and Pour_dr^aster
were received, read and ordered filed.
Resolution No. 357, an order providing for issuance of im-
provement bonds to be secured by tae unpaid assessments on Cordier
Street, was introduced and passed by the following vote:
AYES: Hale, Hickok, Mettler, Spooner, Shattuck. ?
NCES: None ABSENT: None
Resolution Pio. 358 authorizing the President of the Board
to apply for permission from the State Board of Health to discharge
the effluent from the contemplated setivage disposal plant into the
Stockton and Mokelumne Canal Company's canal, vias passed by the
following vote:
AYES: Spooner, Hickok, Hale.Yettler, Shattuck.
NOES: None-3iia,: None
Lig�:t (8) building permits totaling x11,275.00 were granted.
On motion of Trustee Spooner,seconded by Trustee Hickok,
bills arountin; to ;15.922.88 were allowed and ordered paid.
On motion of Trustee Hickok,seccnded by Trustee Eettler,
the Clerk was directed to advertise for a 3/4 to 1 ton truck for
the electrical department.
On motion of trustee Mettler, the Board adjourned to 8
o'clock P.M. of londay, December 18, 1922.
