HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - October 16, 1922- 105 CITY HALL, CITY OF LODI Monday, October 16,1922. The regular meeting of the Board was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. by the President. Trustees Hale, Hickok, Mettler, Spooner and Shattuck present. The minutes of the adjourned meetings of September 11th and 15th and the regular meeting of September 13th were read and approved without correction. F. J. Dolcater protested against the cdndition of the canal below the septic tanks. Trustee Spooner moved that a committee be appointed to see if the canal could not be flushed and the President appointed Mr. Spooner and Mr. Hale as such committee. Owing to carious complaints in regard to settling of pave- ment on Sacramento Street, the Superintendent of Streets was in- structed to withhold acceptance until the :natter could be inves- tigated. A letter from County Engineer F. E.auail fixing the places at Which the City is desired to run its sewer lines outside the city, was read and ordered filed. The Poundmaster's report for the half month was read and ordered filed. Ordinance No. 135 having been regularly introduced at a regular meeting held October 2d,and more than five days having elapsed since such introduction, was then passed, adopted and order- ed to print by the following vote: AYES: Trustees Spooner, Hickok,Hale, Mettler,Shattuck. NOES: Trustees None ABSENT: None. The following resolutions were then introduced and passed by the vote shown after each: Resolution No. 330, determining the amount of the unpaid assessments on Central Avenue, by the following vote: AYES: Trustees Mettler, Hickok, Hale, Spooner, Shattuck. NOES: None ABSflfl: None Resolution No. 331, Providing for the issuance of Bond to represent the unpaid assessments on Central ivenue, by the follow- ing vote: AYES: Hale, Hickok. Mettler, Spooner, Shattuck. NOES: None ABSENT: None Resolution No. 332, Determining the amount of the unpaid assessments on Daisy Avenue, by the following vote: AYES:Trustees Spooner, Hickok, Hale, Mettler, Shattuck. NOES: None ABSENT: None Resolution No. 333, Providing for the issuance of Bonds to represent the unpaid assessments on Daisy Avenue, by the following vete: AYES: Hickok, Spooner, Hale, Mettler, Shattuck NOES: None ABSENT: None In the matter of the construction of the pr oposed sewage disposal plant, the Board proceeded to determine the necessity of the construction of the same and also that the expenditures for such construction would be too great to be met out of the ordinary income and revenues of the City by the passage of Resolution No. 334,vot- ing as follows: AYES: Hickok, Spooner, Mettler, Hale, Shattuck NOES: None ABSENT: None The Clerk stated that he bad been requested by Postmaster E. B. Herrick to request that the space opposite the driveway at the Postoffice and space for four machines to the Nest thereof be re- served for United States Mali, No objection appearing the request was granted and the Superintendent of Streets was directed to allow the marking of the curb to s_o indicate. 0i i'he Clerk was directed to advertise for re -roofing the municipal bath house onnotion of trustee Hickok. Building permits were granted. Bills for labor amounting to 32350.65 were ordered paid on motion of Trustee Hale. On motion of Trustee Mettler, the Board adjourned to 8 o'clock October 30th. n Attest G' o Clerk
