:he adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trus tees of
the City of Lodi was called to order at 8:15 P.M.. T.Gi.Shattuck
presiding. _+11 members present.
the Board Droceeded to the consideration of the tax rate
for the fiscal year beginning July 1,1923. -
After considering the amounts that would be raised on the
assessed valuation of properties shown on the assessment roll and
the amounts required for bond redem-,tion and interest, the rate was
fixed as follows: For general fund 859 on eath PlOO.00 of assessed
valuation.; for library 15je and for Bond Redemption and Interest 503�,
the same being embodied in ordinance No. 136 then introduced and
passed by the following vote:
aY&S: Hickok, Mettler, Hale, Spooner & Shattuck
130yS: None ABSENT: ?Tone
!'he T. & D.Jr. Theatre Companyvr,s granted permission to re-
model the premises on Elm Street now occupied by L. Zelver as a
store,into a theatre providing the completed work complied with the
State law.
Diagrams delineating assessments on Oak and Locust Streets
were approved and adopted as follows:
Oak Street.Resolution No. 319
Locust St., Resolution ::o. 320.

NOB S : None ABSENT: None
Resolution No. 321 authorizing Street Superintendent Christ-
ensen. to contract with J. A. Nicholson for making street assessments
was passed by the following vote:
AY.&S: Hale, Hickok, Mettler, Spooner, Shattuck
NOES: :Ione ABSE 1: `:.one
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned to the
date of the next regular meeting.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees/at S o'clock
F.Y. on the date above written, Pres. J. ;9. Shattuck presiding. All
members were present.
In the absence of the Clerk, Trustee Spooner was chosen
Clerk pro -tem; the reading of the minutes being omitted for the
sane reason.
0. H. 'Wood appeared before the Board and asked information
concerning water and sewage service for his home now being erected
on "eat; Pine 6treet. Service guaranteed and referred to He nnIng
fpr action.
Lauren '::ilkinson as'' -:ed the attitude of the Board relative
to granting him a license to operate Pool Hall in his own name.

Eldridge Rathbun complained of condition. of S. Sacramento
St, caused by Sacramento Gas Co.
Upon motion by 'Mettler, seconded by:iicklok, the Sacr=ento
Gas Co, was ordered to complete the work within four days.
La, hurley asked for lockers at the lunicipal Ba .hs for the
comingrvear in order to acco::modate more patrons. It was requested
to procure data and prices on needed equipment and report to the
Board for future action.
No further business appearing, the Board adjourned until
L:onday, September 25, 1922.
