The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Cit;, of Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock ?.Li; Trustees ::ale ,Hickok, Mettler and Shattuck, present; Trustee Spooner absent. Trustee Hale moved the adopition of 3esolution NTo.302 adopting and approving the said. map. AYES: Trustees Hole, Hickok, Liettler,3hattuc'k NOES: Trustees. None BSHITT: Trustee Spooner. Lir. .1. D.Orose asked that sprinkler systems be installed in the parked spaces of Central :venue. The matter was taken under advise- ment until the next meetings. Crose a? so stated that speeding in the City is so prevalent that the streets are unsafe. He recommended that the police force be increas- e]. so that the matter could be taken in hold and 'violations of the law stopped.. Petition I'or the annexation of No-rthern kddition having been filed with the Clerk ::as presented on motion of Mettler, seconded by Trustee Hickok, and referred to Clerk for verification of signatures and report to Bos.rd. Resolution No. 303 authorizing execution of pipe line agreement crossing Stocktonvenue and Lo;'.^wford Street with the Southern pacific Company was passed by the following- vote: ?YDS: Trustees .Settler, Hale, Hickok, Shattuck.. NOES: Trustees, NTane ABSENT: Spooner.` i communication from the Lodi3Oal. Fire Dept. was read and explain- ed by H. !Gust, asking that am expense al o:;ance of 350.00 for each of two delegates be granted by the Board so that the Chief of the Fire Department and Fire Marshal could attend the Pacific Coast Tire Chiefs Oonvention at San Francisco, Calif. August 8th to 18th. It was moved by Trustee Lettler that allowance be :-ranted, seconded by Trustee Hickok. i:ioti on carried..
