The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock P.N. on the date above ::rit-
ten; Trustees Hickok, Mettler, Spooner and Shattuck present; Trust-
ee Hale. absent.
The minutes of the adjourned regular rneetin of July 10th were
read and approved. cryc
' H. Goodale of 7oster and. _leiser..,asked re -consideration
of t: -s orderof the 3oard deryin his firm permission to move bill-
boards from Lodi Avenue to Stockton Street.
After discussion, the Board reused to reconsider, but inform-
ed odale that the matter of bill -boards and their regulation
.would be taken up at the neat Leetin?.
3'red Lind asked that he be rllowed Water for his house on
Daisy Avenue, but the Board, not caring to establish a precedent in
supplying water to persons itside the City, refused the permission
sought.
This being the date set for the reception of sealed proposals
for improving Eden Street and Stockton Average, the Board proceeded
to publi clv open and declare the bids received., Clark Henery Con-
struction Company beine the only bidders.
?or the improvement 'of -Eden -Street, the above Company bid as
follows: -
Grading :;0.02 per sq. ft.
Paul": 0.185 " " "
Concrete Curbs . 0.50 per lin.ft.
Concrete Gutters 0.28 per so. ft.
The bid on tie improvement of Stockton Avenue was identical
in terms with the above.
Clark & Henery Construction Co. were awarded the contract for
the improvement of Eden Street by the passage of "Resolution of
Award No. 303' by the t11owing vote:

Clark & Her.ery Construction Co. were also awarded the contract
for the improvement of Stockton Avenue, "Resolution of ..ward 304" ,

The clerk read a. cou_nication from the Central California
Traction Conpany, beir2 a copy of a recent order of the Conpa to
its employees designed to obviate the obstruction of Sacramento
Street by causin cars with express matter to stop South of Elm
Street and limiting all stops at depot to five minutes.
On motion of Trustee Spooner, seconded by Trustee ..settler, the
Lodi Business ?pts .-ssoc_at_on were assured that the City would
allow installation of.:. Cay for current for the new sisea te be erect-
ed on Cherokee Lane.
In the matter of fire dam. -e to the ii'hite House-estaurant, the

Labor bills for the half month amountin; to X2382.55 were oriar-
ed pai d.
The Clem was directed to obtain copies of parking- ordinances
of other cities.
