Monday March 6-1921..
The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. by the president
and•on call of the roll there were present Trustees Montgomery,
Cross, Hale and Hickok; Trustee Rich absent.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of February
27th were approved without correction.
Reports from the marshal and fire chief were read,accepted
and ordered filed.
The Secretary of the Fire Department, Mr. d.H.Paust, being
present, was instructed to present vouchers to the Clerk cover-
ing miscellaneous petty expenditures and the same would be paid
from the "Revolving Fund".
Mr. E. H. Stark, the Fire Chief, addressed the Board in
the matter of marking spaces in front of the hydrants on the
new fire line on Sacramento Street, in the matter of cleasitg
the reserved space in front of the Lodi Theatre and of mark-
ing the approach to the fire -house; the Clerk was notified to
convey t*e instructions of the Board in these matters following
in fi l the Chief's recommendations.
City Engineer Barzellotti, having prepared plans, specific-
ations -and diagrams in the matter of the improvement of Oak,and.:
Rose Streets, the same were adopted by the following votes: -
Resolution No. 227, Adopting Plans and Specifications for
the Improvement of Oak Street: -
AYES: Trustees, Crose, Hale, Hickok, Montgomery.
NOES: Trustees, None. Absent: Trustee Rich.
R SOLUTION No. 228, Adopting ?lens and Specifications for
the Improvement of Rose Street:
AYES; Trustees, Crose, Hale, Hickok, Montgomery.
NOES TRUSTEES: NONE. ABSENT: TRUSTEE RICH.

Resolution No. 229, Approving Diagrams of the Assessment Dist-
ricts in the ;utter of the dose and Oak Street Improvement:
AYES: Trustees, Cross, Hale, Hickok, Uontgomery.
NOBS: Trustees, Hone. ABSENT: Trdstee, Rich.
Vao petitions covering the whole extent of Cordier Street
except the block Elm to Locust Street and praying that this street
Were
be improved presented and on motion Trustee Hale, seconded by
Trustea Hickok, the Engineer was directed to prepare the necessary
plans, specifications and diagram.
At the order of the President, none dissenting, the Clerk was
authorized to name the election officers and designate the polling
places for the coming municipal election.
Sixteen building permits were granted amounting to $30,610.
The Clerk was instructed to advertise for the steel pipe nec-
essary to re-lay the bath -house line, information as to specific-
ations and amounts to be furnished by the City Superintendent.
Ordinance No.129 having been regularly introduced at the
adjourned r!gular meeting on Pebruary 27-1922 was brought up for
passage and on :notion of Trustee Cross the same was adopted by
the following vote:-
AYLS; Trustees, Crose, Hale, Hickok, Montgomery.
NOES; Trustees, None. ABS: -.'.NT; Trustee, Rich.
Bills, inoludin.g pay -rolls, to the amount of �11,513.30
having been approved by a majority of the finance committee,
were allowed and ordered paid.
At the order of the President, the Board adjourned until
8 o'clock P.M. Wonday'ebruary 13th.,1922.
