The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trusties was called to
order by the ?resident at 8 o'clock P.M. on the date above writ-
ten and on call of the roll, there 'ere present Trustees, J.S.Lont-
gomery, J.D.Crose, T.O. ale, A. D. Hickok , Trustee C.A. Rich was
absent.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of January 9th
were approved without correction.
The City Engineer having prepared the assessment diagram
in the matter of the improvement of Chtrch Street; Trustee Crose
:coved the adoption of the same and the diagram was adopted as the
assessment diagram for the assessment of Church Street by the
passage of Resolution iio. 212 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale, Montgomery.
NOES: Trustees. None. Absent: Trustee Rich. (gram
The City,Hngineer having prepared the assessment.:district:dia-
for the improvement of Central Avenue, the same wasp adopted by
the passage of Resolution No. 213 by the fo11o•--ing vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Hale, Crose, Hickok, Liontaomery.
NOES: Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee Rich.
Plans and specifications for the contemplated improvement
on Central Avenue were then adopted by the passage of Resolution
No. 214 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale, Montgomery.
NOLS: Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee Rich.
Trustee Hickok then moved the adoption of Resolution of
Intention No. 42, providing for the improvement of Central Avenue
and the same was passed and adopted by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Hickok, Crose, Hale, Montgomery.
"NOES: Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee, Rich.
A communication from M. Dayton resaxding sewage in the Canal
::as read and it appearing that remedy was underway, no action ::as
taken.
A petition in protest against conditions at the plant of the
Sacramento Gas Company ::as referred to the Board of Heatlh
The contractors, Clark 8c Henery Construction Company, app-
lied by letter with consent of bondsmen for extension of time in
which to complete the work ordered on Stockton, Church, and Pleas-
ant and they were granjsed an extension of ninety days by the
passage of Resolution No. 215 by the following vote: -
AYES: Trustees, Crose, Hickok, Hale , Montgomery.
NOBS: Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee Rich.
A petition asking the improvement of Daisy Avenue -:vas
presented and the Engineer ordered to prepare plans and specif-
ications therefore as it appeared on certificate of the Clerk that
more than 500 of the property owners had signed.
Ii.J.Robinson Jr. addressed the board in regard to street
signs and .vas informed that the same would be erected immediately.
Nineteen building permits grossing 036,115.00 were granted
and the Standard Oil Company allowed to install sidewalk tanks at
their new stations.
Members of the Board engaged in a general discussion of the
proper place to keep the fire apparatus but no action was taken.
The Clerk ::as instructed to ask the Central California Tract-
ion Company to make the standing time of cars at Sacramento and
Elm Streets the minimum as traffic was congested at this point.
On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Hale, the
City Superintendent :as instructed to prepare plans and specificat-
ions for a storage shed, and the clerk was instructed to call for
bids for its erection.
Superintendent Henning was given full -power in the matter of
the reduction of trees on Church Street to 25 feet in order to
a comodate overhead 'hires.
On motion of Trustee Hale, bills were alio-zed as audited.
