January 3rd., 1922.
The date of the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Lodi falling on a holiday, the regular meeting
was therefore automatically postponed to 8 o'clock P.M. of Jan-
uary 3rd. by the operation of Sections 10 and 13 -of the Politic-
al Sods, the Board convenening at the hour and on the date last
mentioned. On call of the roll, Trustees :.lontgomery, Crose, Hale,
and Hickok were present, Trustee Rich absent.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of Dec. 27th
1921 were read and approved.
The report of the City Plumbing • as received and ordered
filed.
Letters acknowledging receipt of communications written
at the order of the Board to the State Railroad Commission in
regard to the poor service of the Sacramento Gas Company in the
City and to the Governor in regard to the proposed repeal of
Section 35 of the Motor Vehicle Act were read and ordered filed.
The City Marshal's report for December was read and also
ordered filed.
On receipt of notice from the City Planning Commission
that the terms of Messrs George Le Peber and Prank 0.rgale
would expire January 3st, 1922, the Board unanimously/appoint-
ed the same gentlemen to serve, each, for a term of two years
from and after Januar 1st.
Mr. R. E. Kirkpatrick, consulting engineer, addressed a
letter to the Board in regard to a preliminary survey of local
conditions in the matter of sewage disposal.
Five Building Permits, for buildings at an estimated
cost of §15.900 ware granted.
On motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Croke,
bills to the amount of $9,642.24 were allowed and ordered paid.
In the matter of the change of name of Lancaster Court
to Olive,Court, a petition -that the original name be retained
was presented. The Clerk was instructed to inform the:petitioners
that it was still the purpose of the Board to make thdse two
Streets unite under one name, what name being immaterial, and if
they cogld procure the assent of a majority of the residents
on Olive Court, the consolidated street would be named 'Lancaster.
In the matter of the change of name of Woodbridge Avenue,
the Board ordered this Street changed to Forrest Avenue by the
adoption of Resolution Io. 208 by the following vote: to -mit:
AYES: Trustees, Cross, Hale, Hickok, Montgomery.
NOS: Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee Rich.
On motion of Trustee Hickok, duly seconded, the Board
adjourned to Mondaay7 January 9th, 1922 at the hour of 8 o'clock
P.M.
