_he re7allar meeting of the Board of 2rustecs of the City
of Lodi was called to order by the 'resident at 8 o'clock P,Li,
at the place and on the date above written and on call of the roll
there were present Trustees, Liontgomery, Crose, Hale and Hickok,
Trustee Rich absent ori e. count of illness.
:he minutes on the regular adjourned meeting of 1o: -ember
228th were read and approved without correction.
In the matter of the Improvement Street under Res •
-
olution of Intention No.31; it appearing that the notice of the
filing of the list of unpaid assessments had been duly filed,the
same posted and published and certain assessments paid thereafter,
the Board proceeded to find that the amount of the unpaid assess-
ments was ;;5,669.43 by the passage of Resolution No. 202, more
particularly set forth therein, by the following vote:
AYES: Crose, hicl1_ok', Hale, L ontgomery.
NOBS: None. Absent: Rich.
Immediately after the passage of the above, the Board
provided for the issuance of improvement bonds to represent the
amount of 'the unpaid assessments in the Liain Street District by
the passage of Resolution No. 203, now on file with the City Clerk,
by the following vote:
AYES: Hale, Hickok, Crose, Lontaomery.
HOES: None. absent: Rich.
A petition purporting to be sided by more than 50; of the
property ew:ners fronting on Eilborn Street was presented and ref-
erred to the Clerk for report on frontage re,resented.
The Clerk was instructed to prepare a resolution and pre-
sent the same at the next meeting, changing the name of Grand
Avenue to Central Avenue.
i:onthly reports from the L:arshal, Fire Chief and Plumbing
Inspector were read and ord:red filed.
J C.3ewley & Company aidressed a communication to the Board
asking that the insurance on the new fire truck be placed with them;
the matter :was referred to J.S..:ortgomery and P.o.Eale.
H.E.Ralls filed an application for the position of driver
on the new fire truck.
The proprietor of the "Goodfe_iows Grill" protested against
lunch wagons on the streets and the latter was taken under advise-
ment until the next regular meeting.
Ten bui;ding permits were granted for buildings at an est-
imated cost of 46,660.00.
Claims to the amount of 013,888.67 having been gassed by
a majority of the auditing committee, were allowed or. motion of
Trustee Hale.
A proposed ordinance providing for collection of city taxes
was presented by the City Attorney and at the order of tie Board
.was laid over until the next regular meeting.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the Sacramento Gas Co-
mpany that the provisions of Ordinance iio. 63 would be hereafter
strictly enforced and the L .rshal notified to see that the same
::as complied with especially as to the posting of funds to guar-
antee proper repair of streets.
rdjounnrent was then token to the date of the next regular
meeting.
