Monday October 24-1921.
_he regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lodi was called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. and on call
of the roll there were present Trustees Montgomery,Crose,Eale and
Hickok; Trustee Rich absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of October 17th were
approved as read.
3y the passage of Resolution No. 195, the Board authorized
the purchase of lots 5 and 6 in block 1 of the Moran -Handel Tract
for street purposes, the City to stand all the expenses of paving
Church Street. This resolution was passed.by the,following vote: -
Ayes: Hickok, Crose, Hale and Montgomery.
Noes: ?lone. Absent: Rich.
3.H.De inney applied t) have an electrolier installed in
front of the Methodist Church Gymnasium on Church Street and on
motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Hickok, the Superinten-
dent was instructed to install the same.
R '.Llixer appeared in person and by letter, applying for'
extension of the "three wire" electric service to several nev7 homes;
the petitioner was informed that the,3oard would take up the matter
with Superintendent Henning and if advisable the service would be
extended as needed.
J.3.I.McIahon protested against the location of the curb
returns on De Force Avenue at Church Street and was referred to the
City Engineer.
The application of :r Couslon for the position of concrete
inspector was ordered filed as was the proposition of C.1.Peck to
stable the new fire truck at a charge of w210.00 per month.
Six building permits were ordered granted for buildings at
an estimated cost of X1,570.
The application of G.3.Nance for a store building on East
Locust Street was refused until he should move same back to a line
even with buildings in the sane blank.
The electrolier committee was authorized to purchase elect-
roliers from J. Perrin at a cosi+ of ;0.2.50 each.
The clerk :•:as instructed to notify the Marshal to stop the
erection_ of a sig board at the corner of Lockeford and Sacramento
Streets.
Trustee Crose was granted leave of absen4e for thirty days.
The Board adjourned at 9.30 P.M.
