Pursuant to adjournment taken from the adjourned regular meet-
ing of Au :at 22n5.,1921, the 3oari of _ustees of the City of Lodi mat
in adjourned regular session_ on the :ate above written at 8 o' olook ?....
and on call of the roll there were present Trustees, L:ontgomery, Crose,
gale, Hickok and Rich.
This being the day and hour set by resolution and advertisement
for the opening of proposals for doing the 'cork ordered in Resolutions
of Intention No's. 33, 34, 35 and 36 viz, the improvement of Pleasant
Avenue, Elm Street, Stockton Street and Church Street respectively, the
following bids were received all beim in proper form and accompanied
by the deposit or bona required:

above bids being in excess of a price thought fit andreas-
onable by the board, all bids were rejected by the adoption of Resolut-
ion No. 181 and the clerk instructed, to advertise anew under the same
proceedings returning the deposits of all bidders. This resolution ::as

riation for the Public Library and it appearing that a detailedstat-
ement of their needs had been filed with the clerk, he was assured that
the matter would be considered in fixing the tax rate,

Glenn :rest appeared and filed protest against the granting of a frau^
case to the Central California Traction Company for the "Producers
Fruit Company Spur". Ordinance No. 126 granting this priviledge having
already been re ply passed after due notice, this protest could not
be oonsidere3 but, in order to hasten the repair to the street,curb and
sidewalk, the clerk :.as instructed to communicate with the attorney
for the Central California Traction Company, notifying him of the
claims set forth in the protest and urging prompt repair to any street
image done.
It smearing from the affidavit of Delmer 3. Rinfret that Ord-
inance :io. 126 entitled"an Ordinance Granting to the Central. California
Traction Company a Spur Track" had been duly published in the "Lodi
News", or motion of Trustee Rich, Resolution No. 177 finding due publ-
ioation of the said ordinance was introduced and passel by the follow-
ing

The above resolution is filed in the office of the City Clerk
with the prooeedinas taken in the matter of the proposed improvement of
Lockefora Street.
On motion ofTrusteeCrose, seconded by Trustee Hickok,n_one
dissenting, the board adopted the plans, speoifications and diagram
jfor the kmprovement of Lootieford.Street under Resolution of Intention
No.41, to be later adopted.
_rustee Rich then introduced Resolution of Intention lo.41,
providing for the improvement of roc::eford Street fro_. the East line of
Church Street to a line 125 feet East of the Esat line off Sacramento
Street and parallel thereto.
