The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Trustees convened
pursuant to adjournment of the 2nd. inst. at 8.00 o'clock P.M. and on
call of the roll there were present Trustees, Montgomery, Crose, Hale,
Hickok and Liontgomery.
This being the date and hour set by resolution and by published
notice for the hearing of protests against the granting to Central
California Traction Company, an ordinance permitting the construction

appearing the Board adopted Resolution No. 164 finding due publication
o_' the notice of application by the follocring vote: -

Noes, Trustees, None. Absent, Trustee, Hickok.
Ordinance Edo. 124, an ordinance entitled: "An ordinance z -_---sting
to Central California Traction Company,(a corporation), a spur track"
,;as then adopted and ordered published by the passage of Resolution
Na.165 by the follom. ng vote: -
Ayes, Trustees, Rich, Hale, Crose and T.ontgomary.
Noes, Trustees, I -Tone. Absent, Trustee, 3ickok.
It appaaring,from verbal notice of A.L.I,evinsky, attorney for
r_ Central California Traction Company, that there was a fault in the
plan for the spur track contemplated in Ordinance No.125 whereby
said track would pass 'thin eight feet of the existing platform of
the California Almond Gro:rers Association building, on motion of
Trustee Rich, seconded by Trustee Crose, and unanimously carried,
Crdinance Ido.125, entitled " An Ordina_.ca Granting to Central Calif-
ornia Traction Company,la corporation),a Spur Track" :ras nithdravm
and further proceedings relating thereto abandoned.
In lieu of the above ordinance, the same petitioner applied by
another petition for the granting of an ordinance granting them the
right to construct and operate a spur track within the following
described lines:" Co= -senting for the center line of said spur track
at a point in the East line of Sacramento Street in the City- of Lodi,
California, anie'r. point of beginning is 70 ft. :forth of the center
line of Daisy Avenue produced Easterly to the mast line of said Sac-
ramento Street; thence Northerly on a curve to the right of 125 ft.
radius to the point of tangent; thence through the point of frog 48
ft. Northeasterly to the point of switch, in the center of said Cent-
ral California Traction Company's track 144 ft. North of the point of
beginning, being 6 ft. hest of the East line of said Sacramento Street"
Complying with the petition next above cited, the board adopted
Resolution No. 166, directing the publication of a notice stating that
the board contemplated the granting of the matter petitioned for and
fixing I::onday, August 15th.,1921 at 8.00 o'clock 2.21. as the time
for hearing objsctions thareto. the said Resolution 1do.166 was passed
( and adopted by the following vote: -

the Last line of Sacramento Street, stating that "it was the policy of
the company to resist all longitudinal encroachments"
The Board received an invitation_ to be prasent at the public park

j p'at +on a demonstration of their vrork. The Clerk vas d.irectad to accept
the invitation in the name of the 3oard and extend thanks for the same.
A petition for the erection of a street light at the into -section
of Harold and Garfield Streets r;as presented and refferred to Super-
intandent J.A.3enning.
The San Joaquin Table Grape Growers Association anplied for per-
mission to erect scales on the side-vialk space of Loc>aforc Street, the
snr.a vas _-ranted r;ith the proviso that revocation is at the pleasure of
the board.
Tive building per=ibs vrere granted, totaling $7,850.
The Clerk was instructed to obtain the esti=ates of necessary
axpenii ores for the coming year from each department.
No further'business appearing, the board adjourned, sine die.
