Pursuant to adjournment taken on July 18th, the Hoard of
Trustees of the Ci -y of Lodi met in regular adjourned session at
8.00 o'clock P.M. and on call of the roll Trustees Montgomery, Crose,
and Rich were present, Trustees Hale and Hickok absent.
The minutes of July 19th were aaproved as read.
A co munication-::'as received -from the State Compensation
Insurance Pund stating that the city assumed no liability in deput-
izing watchmenat the fruit sheds as deputy marshals when no compen-
sation was paid.
A petition from T.i:.Griffith and others against the erection
of a certain building on Tokay Street -was ordered filed as -permit had
been issued some aon,hs ago and same vas without the fire limits.
A letter written by the Sup_3rintendent of Public Utilities
to the State Railroad Commission in regard to a reduction of rates
and a closer regulation of voltage of current furnished was endorsed
and a copy thereof placed in .the clerks files.
Trust a Crose introduced Ordinance No 123 for passage:-

PEALING ALL ORDINANCES, OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES, IN CON-
LICT iITH THIS ORDINANCE"
The above entitled ordinance was then passed by the fol-
lowing vote: -
Ayes: Trustees, Crose, Rich and Montgomery.
Noes: Trustees, None.
Absent: Trustees Hale and Hickok.
Siz building permits were ;;ranted for buildings at estimated
cost of ;4,765.00
No further business appearing, the board adjou±ned at 8.50 P.M.
