Pursuant to a3jcurn ent taken on :,:ay 16t'^ the Board of Truetees
of the City of Lodi met in adjourned regular session at 3.00 and on
call of t.e roll there were present, Trustees _:o ntgomery,Crose,=ale, Hick-
ok..3
The minutes of the regular ....eating of _icy lith. :ere read and ap-
proved without correction.
.s agreed between the two possible bidders on the printing and
publishing of the city bids were re -submitted by the Lodi News and
the Lodi Sentinel, the News proposing to do such printing at the rate of
40; per column inch 'or the first insertion and 23 for the subsequent
insertions, the Sentinel at the rate of 34.990 and 24.99. On notion of
Trustee Hale, seconlei by Trustee Crose Resolution i;o.141 awarding the
contract to the nodi Sentinel was thereupon adopted by the following
vo t e : -

Said Resolution No.141 is filed in the office of the City Clerk
and reference to same is hereby made for further Partioalars
Seventeen building permits for buildings at an eotL a:.ed coat of
48,550 were received and. ordered =anted.

sites was ordered filed without action at the present time.
City Attorney 3.__.3t cele made verbal report as to the proceedings
of the special session of the League of California l"anicipalities hell
at Sacramento on the 20th.
In the matter of the allowing city employees vtho had been deprived
of vacation through press of work, it as decided on motion of Trustee
Rica seconded by Trustee H1chok, that Electrician Smith was entitled to
four weeks leave with pay this year as he hal not had his vacation on
account of being badly needed in 1920.

ing on Church Street asking that the s.ocifications for t improvement
of tris street include ::arbelite Lighting Standards was referred back to
the Clark for computation of the frontage.
:he protest of the Souther :acvific R.R.Co. under Sect.15 of the
Act of 1911 was referred to the Clerkwith direction that he notify the
protestant that their property is without the assessment district and
would not be subjeet to assessment

3erresentatives of the Standard Oil Co and of Warren Bros also
addressed the board favoring asphaltic concrete pavement.
On Lotion of Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Hale, the board
decided to appropriate '550.00 for summer concerts by the ^okay Sand.
City Engineer 3arzellotti presented plans and specifications for
the improvement of Stoc''kton Street; Pleasant Avenue; Oak Street;Looke-
ford Street and East Elm Street • i thin the bo:inderies set forth on these
plans ani specifications. In order to investigate further, the Board
decided to delay the adoption of these plans until .iedensday June 1st, w
when an adjourned meeting would be held.
On motion of Trustee Rich, seconded by Trustee Hickok, the board
allowed G.W. & Nellie ,. Le _:oin the s'ar of $100.00 in payment for a cert-
ain serer and water easement by the adoption of Resolution 1o.148, which
resolution is filed ia the office of the City Clerk. This resolution
was adopted by the following vote:- Ayes, Trustees Rich,_ickok,Crose,
Hale and iiontgonery; _goes, None absent _;one.
