HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 12, 1921Adjourned Regular Session City Hall City of Lodi Tuesday April 12 - 1921 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adj- ourned regular session at 2.00 o'clock P.M. according to adj- ournment taken on the llth. inst. and on call of the roll, there were present Trustees Montgomery, Crose, Hale, Hickok,and Rich. The minutes of meetings held on the Apr. 4th.,5th.,and llth. were read and approved. The clerk was authorized to call for sealed bids for the printing of the city, bids to be opened May 2nd. The bid of the Western Pipe and Steel Works on the bath- house pipe at 580 per foot of 8 inch #14 gauge steel pipe was accepted by notion of Trustee Hickok seconded bt Trustee Rich. The bid of Frank L. Cornwell on drilling -the two city wells was accepted on motion of Trustee Hale, seconded by Trustee Hickok. On motion of Trustee Rich, seconded by Trustee Crose, all bids on casing were rejected except that of the Nestern Pipe and Steel Co. and that company's bid was taken under advise- ment until the City Superintendent could obtain their figure. on heavier 24 inch Hard Red Casing. Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Grose, moved that a part of the city park at Locust and Cherokee Streets be set aside for transient autoists; the motion carried, Trustee Rich dissenting. The board denied the application of the City Engir_eer for allowance for auto hire. At the order of the President, there being no expression to the contrary, the board then adjourned until the next reg- ular meeting. Attest:- ,. City Clerk.
