HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 11, 1921City Hall, City of Lodi, Monday 2),ZMal 11th. , 1921 In accordance with adjournment taken on the 5th. inst. the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in ADJOURNED REGULAR SESSION at 9.00 P.M. and on call of the roll Trustees-Montgomery, Crose, Hale, Hickok and Rich were present. This being an adjourned meeting, thecreading of the minutes of previous meeting were dispensed with. On opening of bids scheduled for this meeting, there were the proposals of ten different persons and firms biding on pipe, well casing, well boring and combinations of bidding and boring. The firms and persons bidding in proper form were:- The Continental Pipe Manufacturing Co. of Seattle, Wash. The western Pipe Co. of San'Franciscb, Calif. The Sacramento Pipe Works of Sacramento, Calif. G. Weissbaum Company of San Francisco, Calif. The Pacific Tank &' Pipe Company of San Francisco, Calif. William L. Wales of Woodland , California. (casing) William L. Wales of Woodland , California. (Drilling & casing) A.Ries Drilling Co. of Sacramento, Calif. (Casing) A.Ries Drilling Co. of Sacramento, Calif. (Drilling & casing) Frank L. Cornwall of Lodi, California After opening and receiving the bids, it was decided to postpone decision until the Superintendent of Water Works could canvass same and make recommendation which he promised to do on Apr.l2th. One removal permit and 12 building permits were granted includ- ing that of E. De Martini for an hotel on So. Main Street. Gross construction estimates on these permits was $24,720 The application of W.D.Cowden for position as water inspector was received and ordered filed until consideration of the appointment would be-necessary Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Hickok, moved that the 1T.S.G.;V. be allowed the use of the city park on the 2oth. inst. and none dissenting,he permission was granted. On motion made by Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Crose, the clerk was instructed to notify the two news-papers of general circul ation published in the city that the board would enter into a contrac6 for the city printing. The application of City Engineer Barzellotti for an auto allowance was taken under advisement. On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Crose, the board adjourned to meet at 2.00 P.M. on Tuesday April 12th. City Caerk. V
