This being the first meeting !:ell amen the special eleotion of February 15th.1C21 the board proceeded to canvass the returns or that .1?ction, the results whereof are fully and Darticurlarly set sort_ in resolution No.120 fol7ow1ng:- RESOLUTION NO. 7.20 WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi, did, by Ordinance No. 119 of said Board of Trustees, call and order a special election to be held in said City, on Tuesday the 15th day of February, 1921, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters thereof the propositions hereinafter set forth; AND WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 117 calling and ordering said special election was published in time, form and manner as required by lay. as appears from the affidavit of C. E. PERCIVAL. on file in the office of the City Clerk; ANDERE-REAL it appears that said speoial eleotion was duly held in accordance with law and said call, on Tuesday the 15th day of February, 1921, as aforesaid; that the polls for said election were kept open during the time required by law, and that said special election in ell particulars was held and conducted. and the votes thereat received and canvassed and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared. in time, form and manner as required by the lags of the State of California, and the ordinances of said City of Lodi; AND DHEAS. on Monday, the 21st day of February, 1921, the Board of Trustees of said City met at their usual place of meetinaz and proceeded to canvass and did canvass the returns of said special election in time, form and manner as required by law, whereupon the result of said canvass having been found to be as hereinafter set forth, - IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, determined and declared as follows:- L FIRST:- That the propositions voted upon at said special election were as follows: - Proposition !lo. 1. Shall the City of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of 470,000, gold coin of the United States, for the acquisition, con- struction and completion of additions to the water works of said city, including additional water mains, such debt to bear interest at a rate not to exceed six per canyon per annum, payable semi-annually. Proposition Bio. 2. Shall the City of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of Q;65.000, in gold coin of the united States, for the aoquisition, construction and completion of storm sewers for said city, such debt to bear interest at a rate not to exceed sig per centum per annum, payable seri-annually. Proposition Bo. 3. Shall the City of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of X25,000, gold coin of the United States, for the acquisition, construction and comaletion of additions to the sanitary sewers of said city, such debt to bear interest at a rate not to exceed sig per r eentTm Der annum, payable se -mi -annually. Proposition Vo. 4. Shall the City of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of 20,000, gold coin of the United States, for the acquisition of additional fire aiparatus for said city, such debt to bear interest at a rate not to exceed six per centum per annum, payable semi-annually. Proposition 21o. 5. Shall the City of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of x-,10,000, gold coin of the united States, for the acquisition, construction and completion of water m -sins and fire hydrants on Sacramento and :iain Streets, in said city, for better fire protection, such debt to bear interest at a rate not to emceed six per oentum ner annum, payable semi-annually. Proposition no. 6. Shall the City 'of Lodi incur a bonded debt to the amount of x:20,000, gold coin of the United States, for the acquisition and construction of additional electrical equipment for the municipal electric plant of said city. such debt to bear interest at a rate not to exceed six per centum per annum, payable semi-annually. r' SECOND:- That there were four special election precincts - " established within said city for the purpose of holding said special election, -:;hich -^.ere known and designated "Special Election Precinct "A", S.)ecial Election Precinct "B", Soecial Election Precinct "C" and Snecial Election Preoinct "D", and described in Ordinance No. 117, callinc said election. DETLIM.Il -LD ADD D': CbARM that more than two-thirds of all the voters voting at said special election in said city, voted in favor of all of said propositions and did thereby authorize the incurring of a bonded debt by said city to the amount of and for the purpose stated therein, wherefore the bonds of said city will be issued to defray the cost of the improvements specified in all of said propositions to the amount stated therein.
