HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - February 7, 1921February 7 - 1921 Regular :meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City o_' Lodi called to order at 8.00 P.M. on the data above written . Present: Trustees, Montgomery, Vale, Crose and Hickok. Trustee Itch absent on account of illness. The minutes of t e adjourned meeting of January 25th ,1921 were read and approved as read. A oomzurication from County Surveyor F.E.quail regarding the need cf twelve rail -road crossing signs at various, steam railroad and street intersections:. was read and on motion of Trustee Hickok seconded by Trustee Hale, the superintendent of Streets was instructed to purchase these signs and install them near the following orossings;Elm St.,Pine St.,Locust St.,Tokay St., Main St. ,and Stockton St.; two Pct -a each. A co:.irication fron the President of the State Law Enforcement League in regard to a certain model ordinance railed by them on January 17th. was read and copies of the ordinance were referred to the City attorney for his recommendation. On motion of Trustee Hickok, seconded by Trustee Crose, the pay of Election Officers for the Special 'Municipal Election to be held. on Feb.l5th.1921 was fixed at 47.50 for each officer employed. On receipt of notification from garbage collector C.D..Warren that he was willing to continue his duties at the wave paid, he was continued in office. Reports. of City Marshall McClure, Fire Chief Stark and Pound- nast�r Townley for the month of January were read and ordered filed The complaint of Mrs.L.Sherman,409 Flora,reyarding proximity of a neighbors chicken house to her dwelling was referred to the 3card of Health. Seventeen building permits for building& at an estimated gross cost of 85575.00 were granted and ordered filed. Miscellaneous, bills to the amount of 48750.95 having been approved by the auditing committee were ordered ?:aid. Trustee Montgomery as chairman and on behalf of the Board of Trustees extended their thanks to the retiring city clerk, Mr.H.S. Clark who being present, responded with a few well chosen remarks. No further business appearing, the board adjourned until the next regular meeting .to be held on February 21st.1921. Attest;
