Pursuant to adjournment of January 17th the Board o
Trustees cf the City of Lodi convened at d O'clock P.M., there
being present Trustees Montgomery, Hale, Crose and Hickok. Trustee
Rich was absent on account of illness.
The minutes of the regular meeting of -January 17th were
read ana approved.
ORDINANCE NO. 117,
UA O_RDINANCE ORDERING. CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR An
GIVI_IG NOTICE OF A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY O_ LODI,
STATE OF CALIFCSi;LA, ON TUESDAY, THE 15th LAY OF FEBRUARY, 1921,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBYITT_ING TO THE Q,UALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY
PROPOSITION:S TO INCUR BONDED INDEBTEDNESS BY SAID CITY, FOR SIX
DIr="EHE7T OBJECTS OR PUEPCSES," having been read and introduced for
passage at the regular meeting of January 17th, and laid on the
table for not less than five days, was given•second reading and
finally passed and adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Hale, Hickok, Crose and Hror.tgomery.
Noes: NOne.
Absent: Trustee Rich.
A petition signed by Ted A. iiir_zman and 39 others, hav—
ing been presented asking the Board to take steps to open a street
to be an extension of Lincoln Avenue south from Daisy Avenue to
Lockeford Street, the petition was ordered filed and the City En—
gineer instructed to take the matter up with interested property
owners and request them to secure the right of way for the open—
ing of said street.
Request having been made for the City -to extend elec—
trolier lig:_ting on South School St.,'Superi.tendent Henning was
requested to ascertain_ the cost of materials and installation
and report at the next meeting of the Board.
Yr. G.H.Moore, as delegate from the Lodi Business Len's
Association, appeared before the Board and offered all assistance
and united sueport of that organization for the success of the pro—
posei bond issue for municipal improvements. This offer of assist—
ance was -rratefllly received by the President and members of the
Board of Trustees and Mr. Moore was requested to convey to the
BuSinese :._?: '3 Aasociaticn the thanks of the Board.
The City Clerk was instructed to remind Supt.Gaylord of
the Southern Pacific Company of his promise to corse to Lodi and
confer with the Board regarding the paving of Main Street.
Thirteen applications for building permits were read,
granted and ordered filed.
No further business appearing the Board adjourned until
the next : e illar meeting February 7th, 1921. G
