The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in reg-
uiar session at 8 o'clock p. m., there being prese nt Trustees F21e,

Rich were absent.
By unanimous consent Trustee Hale was Chosen to preside.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
In response to call for bids of December 14th, 1920, for
750 feet of Cast Iron Pipe, equal to class B, f. o. b. Lodi, t.e
following proposals were read:
American Machinery Company 11.15 per foot.
Wm. P. Horn Company 1.358 u u
American_ Cast Iron Pipe Company 1.30 11 L
U. S. Cast Iron Pipe & Foundry Companj90.60 u ton.
Trustee Crose moved, seconded by Trustee Hickok, that the
bid of American Machinery Company of Oakland, California, be accept-
ed, it being understood that the said pipe was to be dipped, the
City to ray e additional freir t from Pinole to Oakland, and the
City Clerk be instructed to return the certified checks of unsuc-
cessful bidders. Tte motion was adopted.
A communication was received from Superintendent Gaylord
of the Southern Pacific Company saying he would take up with the
Board of Trustees the matter of the improvement of 'lain Street
after January 1st.
The quarterly report of City Treasurer, monthly reports
of City Marshal, Fire Chief and Pourt'taster were read and ordered
filed.
U"on motion of Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Hickok,
City Marsr_al McClure was granted one week leave of absence.
Twenty applications for building permits were read, ranted
and ordered filed.
Miscellaneous bill amounting to 48922.20, having been aud-
ited by :he fir ce cor.mittee, were allowed and ordered paid.
Upon Lotion of Trustee Crose, seconded by Trustee Hickok,
t±le Board adjourned to meet again at 7:30 p.m., Monday January
10th, 1921.
