CITY HALL - - CITY OF LODI
Monday, August 30, 1937
At the call of the Mayor, the City Council of the City of Lodi
met in special session at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on the date first above written, _
Councilmen Clark, 3raffigna, Spooner, l7eihe and Mayor Steele present, none
absent. The Citv Clerk reported that written consent to this meeting had
been signed by all members of the City Council prior to the hour of meeting
as prescribed by Section 898 of the Liuniclpal Corporations Bill as amended
by Stats.. 1933, p. 1323.
All Councilmen having been apprised by the Mayor of the purpose
of the meeting: to -wit. to select and appoint a City Judge to succeed -the
late E. L. Weaver and to fix the compensation to be paid such City
Judge, the Mayor directed the Clerk to read all written applications as
filed with him:
Applications were received from Ltr. Frank A. Henning, Lir. William
E. Riggs, Lir. A. A. Ludwigs and from Mr. J. C. Ferguson and A. H. Bull.
On motion of Councilman Spooner. seconded by Councilman Clark and
carried. Lir. J. C. Ferguson was appointed City Judge, at a salary of
$100.00 per month effective September 1, 1937.
On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Weihe,
The Council adjourned to and until the date of its next regular meeting.
Motion carried.
The foregoing minutes of a
special meeting of the City
Council of the City of Lodi
were read at a subsequent
meeting of said Council held
September 7, 1937 and approved
without correction.
