Pursuant to the adjournment taken from the regular meeting of March 15, 1937, the City Council met in adjourned regular meeting at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of Monday, Liarch 22, 1937. Councilmen, Clark, Graffigna, Weihe and Steele present, Councilman Spooner absent. On motion of Councilman Graffigna, seconded by Councilman Weihe, Ordinance No. 234 entitled "AN ORDINANCE CE APPR0VIN; THE AN!•1=ATIOrr OF "LOUIE A"'UE ADDITION", was brought up for passage and adoption, having been regularly introduced on Larch 15, 1937. The second reading was omitted. The foregoing ordinance No. 234 was then passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen, Graffigna, 9eihe, Councilmen, None. Councilman, Spooner. The Mayor then approved and signed the ordinance. Clark and Steele Ordinance No. 235 entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE A "RCKK ADDITION", having been regularly introduced on March was brou>ht up fcr passage and adoption on motion o:' Councilman seconded by Councilman Weihe. The second reading was omitted. Ordinance No. 235 was then passed and adopted by the following N C:E^; NNENATION OF 15, 1937 Graffigna, The foregoing vote: AYES: NOM: ABSEtTT: Councilmen, Councilmen, Councilman, Graffigna, Weihe, None. Spooner: The Mayor then approved and signed the ordinance. Clark and Steele Ordinance No. 236 entitled "AN ORDINANCE A:'PROVING THE ANNEXATION OF SARGENT ?CAD ADDITION", having been regularly introduced on March 15, 1937 was brought up for passage and adoption on motion of Councilman Graffigna, seconded by Councilman Weihe. Second reading was omitted. The foregoing Ordinance No. 236 was then passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Councilmen, Graffigna, Weihe, Clark and Steele Councilmen, None. Councilman, Spooner. The Mayer then approved and signed the ordinance. At the suggestion of the City Engineer and on motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Weihe, and carried, the Clerk was directed to advertise for a pump for the Sewage Disposal Plant, specifications for the same to be prepared by the City Engineer. The Clerk presented the final map of Froehnert's Subdivision and the same was approved by the adoption of Resolution No. 899, introduced on motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Weihe. RESOLUTION NO. 899 WHEREAS. the City Planning Commission has approved a preliminary map entitled "TRACT 16, NAP OF FROEHNERT SUBDIVISION, LODI, CALIFORNIA" and; WHEREAS, the final map of said subdivision has been filed with and presented to this, the City Council of the City of Lodi for approval, and; WHEREAS, the final map displays no major changes or alterations from the preliminary map thereof; BE IT RESOLVED, that said map be and the same is hereby approved and this City Council does hereby aecept the streets, alleys, avenues and ease- ments thereon delineated as public streets, alleys, avenues and easements and hereby dedicates the same to public use. 436 COUNCIL CHAMBERS --CITY COUNCIL CITY HALL - - CITY OF LODI The foregoing Resolution No. 899 was then passed and adopted by the following vote: A77S: Councilmen, Clark, Weihe, Craffigna and Steele — NOES: Councilren,None. ASSENT: "ounciL:.an, Spooner. The L-:ayor then declared a recess during which the Council and the City Planning Coaaaission met in joint session. After returning to regular session, the City Attorney, Glenn Nest presented a petition signed by the Board of Trustees of the Lodi School District asking that a portion of Sturla Street South of Needham School be abandoned, and on motion of Councilman Graffigr_a, seconded by Councilman r'leihe, resolution No. 900 was introduced read by the Clerk and considered by the Council. RESOLUTION NO. 900 RESCLUUPICY OF TH?' CITY CMTCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI, D?CLI'RING THE INTENTION OF S,,UD CITY CM,,TCIL TO AB_AITDCN A PCP='ICN OF "STURLA STREET" IN SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Lodi, San Zoaquin County, California, that it 1s the intention of said City Council to abandon that portion of the following named street in "STUPI.A SCHOOL ADDITION" as per map of said addition filed April 6th, 1920, and recorded in Book 10 of L%ps and Plats at page 6 in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Toaquin, State of California, to -wit; All that portion of "Sturla Street" lying between the West line of South Church Street and the East line of South Pleasant Avenue in said city. BE IT FC?-=_ RESCLVED, That no land is necessary to be taken therefore and that the exterior boundaries of the district of lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement are the exterior boundaries of said portion of Sturla Street" so intended to be abandoned, and that no lands are to be assessed to pay any damages, costs or expenses thereof. BE IT FUR= RMCVIED, That the Street Superintendent of Lodi be, and he is hereb-• directed, to post and publish notices of the nasage of this resolution at the times, places and in the manner required by law, such publication to be had in "The Lodi News -Sentinel", a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said city, and hereby designated by said City Council for that purpose. The foregoing Resolution No. 900 was passed and adopted by the following vote: AIM: Councilmen, Graffigne, alhe, Clark and Steele ?CES: Councilmen, None. ABSEYT: Councilman, Spooner. COI2.110DITES: AIM PROVIDING A PANALTY FOR TYE 710LATICIT OF TFIS ORDINANCE" was introduced on motion of Councilman Graffigna, seconded by Council -an :Teihe, read by the City Attorney and considered by the Council and by the same motion this Ordinance was laid over for the statutory period of not less than five days. Votion carried.
