The minutes of . ;u1ar ileetia of 5, 1335 and of the
special meeting of .Lpri1 3, 1336 were read, approved as read, and so
indorsed by the c,a or.
The City Clerk filed a written report on to election of April 14,
1936 statim that said election had been held and co.. noted in accordance
with law, resolution and ordinance and tiat all absent voters ballots
su?_:1ied by him .._d been returned, voted. Councilmen, Sooner and araffigna
and the City Clerk 'Chen nrooeeded as a canvassing board to canvass the
returns of this election as received from the various precincts. Alter
this canvass of the returns, the City Council proceeded to take uo the

by law,

and legally -even, that votin. Jrecincts were properly establ_ e:., that
election officers ..ere appointed and election supplies furnisned, and
ti'=.t in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes
cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returas thereof, made, deter—
mined and declared in time, force and manner as re ulred by the general
lams of the State providing for and regulating municipal elections in
cities of the fifth and sixth class,

council chamber thereof on Monday, the 20th day of April, 1336 to canvass
the returns of said election and install the asw1y elected officers; and
whereas the council finds as a result of said canvass that the number
of votes east, the names of the persons voted.for, and other matters required
by law, to be as hereinafter stated, now therefore it is hereby
RESOLVED, determined and declared as follows:
That said regular municipal electloa was deed and boaducted in
the City of Lodi, California or. Tuesday, time 14th day of April, 13,70, in
time, form and wanner es rec.ulred by law.
