Henning, Superintendent of Public Utilities presented an agrea:_ent for the use of certain poles belonging to the Pacific Gas k electric Comaany and on m;tion of Councilman Spooner, secoaced by Councciman 'araffi3na, Rasolution NO. 828, approving an agreement for the use of :_nese poles was introduced and considered by the Council. OTTO Tca C OU;:.JiL .inid/ On m3tloa of Council.an Spooner, seconded by C-uncli,:an ;eche, the City attorney was instructed to take the necessary legal stets to abancon that portion of Lawrence revenue lying, tetween ,7ashington Street and :tockton Street, also the alley running 'forth and South in Slock 5 in tae Lawrence Homestead _.ddition, and any platted streets or rights of way lying within the boundary lines of the ?resent Lawrence Park. Motion carried. The Clerk read a letter from Mr. Edward Hutchins asking for assurance -that the City Council would Install public utilities In the ae.:ly annexed Hutchins Hj:�iestead IddLtlon No. 2. The Clerk has '_^.strutted to write 'd.. Hutchins to the effect that the City was waltlab for t,e final approval of the 7iorks Progress administration Projects to install these utilities but if these projects were not approved by the govern:.:ent the City would make preparations in its next budSet to take care of this work. Mr. John a. Henning reported that the Federal 5overnment had axte::ded the tide for the P. W. A. Loan & Grant Agreementto an indefinite date. City Attorney Glenn West reported that he had co=pieted the negotiations for the purchase of the Ingomar Gold Ulning Company property In Calaveras County and that the deeds had been forwarded to the Comfy Recorder. On notion of Councilman Graffi„na, seconded by Councilman Weche, claims No. 25441 to and lrclusive of #25502 as aaproved by the finance committee in the amount of .3,572.90 were allowed and ordered paid.
