Tuesday, June 11,1935
The City Council of the.City of Lodi met at 7:30 o'clock
P.M. on the day and date first above written. having been so
_ called to meet by the Mayor on notices delivered by the City
Clerk. Councilman Clark, Spooner, Weihe and Mayor Steele
present on call of the roll, Councilman $eagle absent, being
still too ill to attend.
The Mayor stated that, owing to the fact that the County
Planning Commission would meet June 13th.,1935, this meeting
was necessary so that the Council's approval or disapproval
might be voiced in regard to the proposes resubdivision of
of a portion of Hutchins Homestead Addition. the map of this
proposed resubdivision having been submitted to the County
Surveyor and by him, transmitted to the City Engineer.
after consideration of the proposed map, the following
resolution was introduced by Councilman Spooner, Weihe sdcond:
RESOLUTION NO. 782.
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY bide.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi, that
that certain map or plat entitled "Preliminary Map, Subdivision
No. 2, Hutchins Homestead Addition, City of Lodi, California",
be, and the same is hereby approved as.submitted without change
or alteration as a map of a legal subdivision of lands within
thwee miles of the corporate limits of the City of Lodi;
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED, that the acting City Engineer be,
and he is hereby directed, to forthwith transmit a copy of said
map or plat to the County Planning Commission of the County of
San Joaquin, Stockton, California, together with a copy of
this Resolution duly certified by the City Clerk of this City.
The foregoing Resolution No. 782 was thereupon passed and
adopted by the following vote: -
AYES: Councilmen. Spooner,Weihe,Clark and Steele.
NOES: Councilmen, None.
Mr C.O.Henning stated that it would be necessary to
to call for bids on plumbing, hardware and electrical equip-
ment for the armory building very soon and on motion of
Councilmen Clark, Weihe second, the following resolution was
introduced :
RESOLUTION NO. 783. A
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVZ_,RTISE FOR SEALED PRB20SALS FOR THE
PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL BaUIPMENT FOR
,2MORY BUILDING.
?.ES01VM, by the City Council of the City of Lodi that the
City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
cause publication to be had in the official newspaper of
the City of Lodi for the reception of sealed proposals for
the furnishing of plumbing fixtures, piping and for electrical
conduit, wires and switches and miscellaneous electrical
equipment to be used in the construction of the Lodi National
Guard Armory building in accordance with the plans, specificat-
ions and material lists prepared by Joseph Loeekenn, Architect.
Such sealed proposals to be received by this City Council and
publicly opened and declared on July 1, 1935.
The foregoing Resolution No. 783 was thereupon adopted
by the following vote: -
AY -ES: Councilmen, Clark, Weihe, Steele and Spooner.
NOES: None. ABSENT: Councilman, Keagle.

The Clerk was directed to have the architect of the
armory building to immediately prepare and furnish him with
complete copies of the hardware, electrical equipment and
plumbing supplies necessary for the building.
The City Council then adjourned.at the order of the
Mayor, none dissenting.
