Prrscant to the adjournment ta, cen from .he -regular uestinz
of December l7th, the Cit;; Council Of the City of Lodi met at
10.00 ololova on the date above written, Councilmen Clara,
Spooner,7%sibe and Steele pr.�aent, Councilman Keagle absent on
account of illness.
There being no oarsors in attendance, the Council roved
to the of'ices of the City Engineer on the first floor of the
City Hall and the :T or cper-ed the meeting.
Cit; Attorney Glenn 'Best addressed the Council in regard
to progress being made toward approval of the City's application
to the °ublic .forks Administration for a grant and loan where -

'With to build an hydro -electric power plant. He stated that
the application had passed all de�rtments of the P.W.A. and
was now before a special Board of Review. _tar the reading
Of several telegrams and correspondence, the ;°;ayor was auth-
,zsd to send a telegram to Washington stating that the City
Council would not consider the calling of another election on
this project unless it had absolute confirmation that the
Public Works Administration would matte a loan_ and a satis-
factory grant.
It anpearing tlaat a discount of x;17.50 would be allowed
on 700 sacks of Portland Cement purchased from Elliot Lumber
Company if the bill were paid before December 30, 1934, the
bill, less this discount, was ordered paid on motion of
Councilman Spooner, Clara second. This bill was for cement
to be used in S.A.3.A. projects and included sacks subject
s to rebate at 10y4 each on return of same.
At the order of the Mayor, none dissenting, the Council
then adjourned to and until the day and hour of its next
regular meating.
