CITY HALL - - CITY OF LODI
Monday, November 19,1934
The City Council of the City of Lodi met at 8:00 o'clock
P.M. on the date first above written, Councilmen Clark, Keagle,
Spooner,Weihe and Steele(Mayor) present, none absent.
The minutes of the last meeting held November 7th,1934
were read, approved as read and so endorsed by the Mayor.
No persons desiring to address the Council at this time,
the order of Public Hearings was passed and the Council proc-
edded to hear communications on file.
The Clerk read a report from Robert M. Searla, Assoc-
iate Counsel in the East Bay -Municipal Utility District suits
setting forth the progress made in presenting the case on
appeal to the State Supreme Court and outlining future
proceedure.
Two building permits for dwellings to cost $2,750.00
were ordered granted.
On application of Fire Chief George D. Polansks, he was
authorized to purchase 400 feet of 2J inch fire hose, motion
Councilman weihe, Keagle second.
Claims In -the amount of $2,156.85 as approved by the
Finance Committee were allowed and ordered paid on motion of
Councilman Clark, Veihe second.
It appearing that J.L.Pagon had incurred certain expense
under the diraection of former Police Chief Christesen in
procuring evidence relating to fires at the Foster &Wood Can-
nnery, on motion of Councilman Spooner, Keagle second, it was
directed that he be reimbursed in the sum of $16.10. Carried.
On motion of Councilman Keagle, :Teihe second the City
was authorized to join with other creditors of Vants Manufact-
uring Company in securing a settlement of water and power bills.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned at
the order of the Mayor, none dissenting.
