The minutes cf the last regular meetingh.eld October 15th
and cf the Special Meeting,.
held October _9,1934 were read,
approved as read nad so endorsed by the Mayor.
The report of F. Christesen as Chief of Police for the
month of October and that of .Cooper, Po.ind-aster for the sane
period were received, read and ordered filed.
communication from the National Eneine Company in re_ard
to the financing of a Diesel Electric Generating Plant ;,as ord-
ered filed.
_ proposal for the edit of the City's accounts "or the
past year as a basis fcr the submission of a bid on auditing
for past years, was received from L.S.Ti—ons Company and
referred to the Committee on Finance & Revenue.
-.S Tench applied by letter for apcintment as City Tree
Warden. Ordered filed.
. It appearing that the City would have to stand the test of
supervision of crews working under the State Emergency Relief -
d_inistration in shaping and caring for trees at Lake Park until
the first of next year, it -as moved by Ccuncilran
Spooner second, that ::r E.S.French be aeeointed Tree Foreman
at a wage of e25.00 per reek, such appointment to cease January
.1, 1935.
The Clerk resorted that the annual purchase agreement with
Great .:'extern Electro Chemical Company for liquid chlorine used
at the Sev:age Disposal Plant would expire December 31, 19E4, re-
newal of this agreement was authorized on motion of Councilman
-:eihe, Clark second and the Keyor signed the agreements presented.
The Clerk reed a communication from C.S.Jeckson, e_,pointed
Chief of Police effective November 1, 1934 rete -mending (1) the
appointment of Charles Nichols and of Ralph M. Boyd to be Police
Cfficers, (2) the transfer cf Officer t.R.Ccf fT.,'an to traffic
detail and the purchase of a motorcycle for use in that as:siCn-
nent.
On motion of Councilman Keagle, Spooner second, ehe appoint-
eents of Charles Nichols and of Ralph M. Ecyd was ratified end
confirmed, such arpointment to date from November 12,1934 with
salaries and allowances as now paid patrolmen and by the same
notion, Chief Jackson was authorized to negotiate for the purch-
ase of a used motorcycle from the Division of ::rotor Vehicles.
