Janes W. Giibo_^_s representing Lodi Post American Legion,
acdressed the C:uncil asking the appropriation of the sum of
x;500.00 by the City to assist in purchasing uniforms for the

accompanying hip that due consideration would be given this
matter at the time of making the annual budget e..d that some
sum would be allotted, the amount thereof depending on the
assessment roll as the City was limited to 3 of its taxes
for music and promotion.
A. J. Randolph asked that season tickets be issued at
Lake Park for swimming and boating. Councilman ti.eihe suggested
that a charge of $5.00 for a season ticket would be sufficient.
At the suggestion of Councilman Clark, the matter was referred
to the Committee on .Parks.
Representatives of Veterans of Foreign '::ars asked permis-
sion to hold their annual card party at a date to be sekketed
later, in front of the City Hall as last year. Permission
granted.
Southern Pacific Company applied and was granted permit
to close one block of East Lim Street for two weeks, pending
replacement of tracks.
A letter from the Secretary of Lodi Volunteer ?ire
Department naming the elective and appointive officers of the
Department for the ensuing year ^.es received and read. On
motion of Councilman Clam_, :.eihe second, all officers named
were approved and confirmed as the officers of the Department.
It appearing on the advice of Miss :;my L. Boynton,
Librarian of Lodi Public Library, that the terms of office of
Library Trustees - F. Ellis and W. ro H. Thompson vculd expire
June 3Cth, Messrs Ellis and Thompson were re -appointed for
the statutory term on motion of Councilman Weihe, Zeagle second.
solution To. 723 was then adopted wherein the City
applied for a fifth extension of its time to perform certain
conditions subsequent named in deed from Colorado Power Company
to the City of Lodi dated .:angary Rth,1929 to be evidenced by
a supplimentary deed. This Resolution was adopted by the
following vote :-
AYES: Councilmen, :.eihe,1eagle.*,Clark and Steele
NOES: Councilmen, Tone. ASSENT: Counoilman,Spooner.
A written report of the financial receipts and disbursem.:er
of Lodi 20-30 Club at the Lake opening June 10th was read and
ordered filed.
On receipt on a numerously signed petition aslcing that
parking time limits be set in the business district, Councilman
Clark moved that the matter of preparing an ordinance therefore
be submitted to the City Attorney. Motion carried, Councilman
";eihe voting "pro"
Three building permits for structures to cost X475.00 were
ordered granted and bills in the amothnt of x;4,516.44 as approved
by the Finance Committee were ordered paid on motion of Councilmen
Clark, Veihe second.
At 9:00 o'clock the Council was resolved into executive
seesion, returning to open meeting at 9:47 P.M. when adjournment
was had on motion of Councilman Cl2,k.
