:.:onday, June 4, 1934.
The City Council of the. City of Lodi met in regular
session at 8 o'clock P ' Councilmen Clark, :eagle, Spooner,
7Se the and Steele (:.:ayor) present.
The minutes of the last meeting held I.:ay 21,1934 were
read, appro.°ed as read and so endorsed by the Layor.
epresertatives of Lodi 20-30 Club appeared in regard to
the formal opening of Lodi L unic ipal Lake Park June 10, 1934,
stating that the Club proposed to spend considerable money
during this occasion and would like to operate the soft drink
concession so that they might be reimbursed in soma measure.
This request raving 'peen approved by the Park Committee, was
ordered granted.
An agreement for the operation of the permanent refresh-
ment stand at the Labe and for the performance of certain du-
ties between. Jerry Sandman and the City was approved and
ordered exscuted on motion of Councilman Spooner, Weihe second.
The Clerk read a letter from to California Automobile
Association stating its new policy in regard to establishment
and maintenance of street signs, whereby the municipality would
furnish materials and the Association provide labor, etc.
The City having. acquired several walnut trees in the •
purchase of the Labe ?ark, the California Walnut ^srowers Asso-
ciation advised the Council that they were eligible. to member-
ship in their association. On motion of Councilman Spooner,
Wei'ne second, the Clerk was authorized to execute an application
for membership and forward it to the proper officer.
The Clerk read two letters from the League of Calif-
ornia i:unicipalities, one in regard to liquor control and the.
other in regard to the activities of the 1915 3ond Act cormittee.

. 3onnell and Associates made formal application to
audit the accounts of the City for the fiscal year. Applica-
tion ordered filed.
?our building permits for structures to cost 4850.00
were allowed and ordered granted.
The report of the Found Master and of the Chief of
lice for the month of Lay were received, read and ordered

filed.
Llayor Steele reported that he had obtained a deed from
R. ?. 3arbour a:+d others attempting to clear the title to
Chestnut Street in utc.ins Addition. , The Council formally
accepted the deed by the passage of Resolution iio. 721, by
the following vote:
AYES: Coi;_C t?L^IT Clark, Weihe, Spooner, Beagle and Steele.
