this regular meeting of the Cit,- Council of the City of
Lodi vias called to order at 8 o'clock P.M. of the date first
above written. Councilmen Clark, Zeagle, Spooner, 'iieihe and
Steele Present. 1+one absent.
The minutes of the meeting •of ;,:ay 7th: were read, approved
as read and so endorsed by the :.:ayor.
the order of public hearings was set over to be tarsen up
at a later hour in the meeting.
In the matter of the abandonment of the old right of way
to the dump ground, Resolution Po. 717 directing the massing of a
quit -claim deed to 3enjamin 3echtroid was adopted by tie assenting
votes of Spooner, Leagle, Clark, :;eihe and Steele:

of way over lands then owned oy ii.3ecr.thold and +oilhelmina
Seo: t'r.old oy .deed from the aforesaid dated Lay 22,1915,for
the purpose of obtaining access to lands of the City used
as a public dumping ground, and
,i;:3R,da,it is no longer necessary that this City own
said richt of way, the Cit,; having ootained other means of
access to said dumping grounds by the exxcution of a certain
agreement between R.3echthold and wife and L.J.Loveiess and
wife dated 3ebruary 24,1927 and by a deed to said City o."
Lodi from the said L.J.Loveless and wife made in accordance
with said agree went ,dated April 29, 1927,

end they __Jhereby authorized and directed to make,execute
and deliver to 3enja::in 3e.,_ thold, successor in interest to

said ri P^ t of way.
A letter was received from the League of California
Municipalities stating that an attempt would be made to organize
a Central Valley 3ranc'r. League at a meeting to be held in Modesto
on the evening of ..ay 31st. Or: motion ofCouncilmanSpooner,
-_eagle second, the Mayor and the Clerk and slatUther members of
the Counoil,as could find it convenient, were directed to attend
this meeting at the expense of the City.
Another letter from eagae of Municipalities in regard
to their efforts to ootain 2edera1 funds for unemployment. relief
..as read and ordered filed.
In the matter of the privilege granted by Resolution
iso. 713 adopted April 16, 1934 the Clerk read the formal order
of the State Railroad Commission as emoodied in its decision
Iio. 27038 granting the Southern 2aoific Company the right to cross
Elm Street at grade.
In the matter of the _ ^.ase o2 the lands generally
known and called Loma Lake Para from L. ...:anon, resolutions
