LIonday - April 30, 1934
This regular adjourned meeting was called to order at
3 o'clock 2 .. on the date first above written. Councilmen
Clar_c,=:eagle,Spooner, :.eine and Steele present. Lone absent.
The Clerk presented the returns from the Special ;.iunicipal
3ond Election hid April 23d and on canvass of the returns
the results were found to be as stated in Resolution No. 715
next following:

WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Lodi by Ordinance
Lo. 202 duly called and ordered held in said City of Lodi an
el -action on the 23rd day of Apri1,1934, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified voters and electors thereof the
following proposition, to wit:
Proposition: Shall the Cit;; of Lodi incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal sum of
520,000 for the object and purpose of acquiring,
constructing and completing the following municipal
improvement, to wit: A hydro -electric generation
system,including lands, rights of way, easements,
dam, penstock, power plant and building, transmis-
sion lines, conduits, wires, poles, substations,
transformers, dynamos, motors, switches, machinery,
apparatus, fixtures, equipment and other structures,
works, rights and properties, necessary or conven-
ient to generate electricity :o supply said City
and its inhabitants with electricity for light,
heat and power; provided that said 'bonde'd indeoted-
ness sail not be incurred or created unless a
gram of moneys in aid of such improvement, satis-
factory to the City Council, is made by the United
States of .._erica or any agency of the united
States Government?
AND 'LH0REA3, said ordinance calling and ordering said
election was duly published as required by law and by said
ordinance, as appears from the affidavit of Naomi 3. Walters,
principal clerk of the publishers of "THE LODI SENTINEL"
an file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Lodi;

duly held in accordance with law and with said call, on the
said 23rd day of ....ern, 1934, as aforesaid, and that the polls
for said election were kept opens durin:7 the time required by
law, and that said election was held and conducted, and the votes
thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascert-
ained, determined and declared all as provided by the laws of
the State of California, and by said ordinance;
AUD =-=REAS, on this day, to .it, ?onday, the 30th
day of -pril , 1934, at the hoar of eight o'clock 2.a., the
Cit7 Council of said City of Lodi met at its usual place of
meeting and has canvassed the returns of said special election
as required by law, end the result of said canvass is found
to be as hereinafter Fated and set forth:
